Moved in...

Mar 24, 2008 08:46

I now live in  a house.  It is very odd, there is so much room. Last night, I watched South Park in the living room while The Wife lay down in the bedroom reading Storage magazine.  We couldn't hear each other because we were on different floors!

Moving Thoughts:

* The Wife is very strong, she can lift the desk up the stairs almost on her own.

yeah, didn't you get that talk? When a man and a woman like each other, they get married, buy a house, and once the mortgage is in place nine months later there's a baby. It's biology, dude.

We got the pup in hopes of delaying any such baby.

You would think she had enough grandchildren already.

"You would think she had enough grandchildren already."

I have eleven nieces and nephews, and lemme tell ya, there is no such thing as "enough grandchildren."

You're married.

You have a house and a mortgage.

A baby is the next step.

No it's not fair, but neither is marriage.

My advice, start working on your "selective deafness" and a taste for scotch.

Taste for scotch: Check
Selective Deafness: "What?"

The Wife asked that I add in that she has at least three steps before baby.

1. Pergo flooring
2. Return to Europe
3. Not relishing time away from children

being a teacher = excellent birth control

Don't cave in to pressure. I made everyone wait 8 years after my marriage/mortgage before I agreed to baby. Writhe in your freedom and play play play until you really want one.

So long as Kate has to deal with a whole kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th grade class every day she has no burning desire.

Me? I am too irresponsible and selfish right now to care for a child.

Way to move, homeowner!

Wow ... I don't think anyone in either of our families got on our case about babies after we got married, but then again, I was pretty vocal about the whole DO NOT WANT thing.

It probably helps that we don't own a home yet, and that members of both of our families seem to think we're some kind of freaky beatniks.

there are days that we both consider being some kind of freaky dog people.

Pugs. lots and lots of pugs.

I don't think you should have babies or more pugs. I think you should spend all of your time with me. Wouldn't that be great?
