I now live in a house. It is very odd, there is so much room. Last night, I watched South Park in the living room while The Wife lay down in the bedroom reading Storage magazine. We couldn't hear each other because we were on different floors!
Moving Thoughts:
* The Wife is very strong, she can lift the desk up the stairs almost on her own.
* Unloading takes less time than loading.
* Uhaul's claim that the truck gets 10 miles to the gallon is bullshit.
* I am done disassembling and reassembling the Ikea bedframe.
* Beer at 10:30am is ok
* McDonald's sausage biscuit gives you lifting power.
* Thank goodness we moved on Saturday instead of Sunday.
Sunday night was our traditional Easter dinner,
Shanghai Garden. For more or less the past 10 years i have had chinese for easter dinner. Every year i have almost an identical phone conversation with my parents:
Dad: What are your big Easter plans?
Me: Chinese
Dad: (Laughing) Ha! that's real traditional, have some egg foo yung {Note: I have never had Egg Foo Yung} and think of us.
Mom: Maybe next year you could come here for Easter.
This time, however, my dad made the request for us to join them for Easter 2009. Mom immediately followed up his request with:
Mom: Marshall, hopefully next year they will have a baby, its hard to travel wtih a little one.
WTF?!
