Now, I feel like my life is full of 2s.
It's been 2 years that I write those essays, I'm 20 years old, I took my first steps in my twenties.

The number 2 it's bigger than 1 but still it's little. It's a matter of fact that you can't buy with 10000 yen goods of 20000 yen. But in a competition of course there isn't another position that gives you the same joy as the number 1. In a marathon, a relay and in swimming too.
Number one is what everybody should aim to.

Of course, 1+1=2. Maybe in some circumstances the number 2 has more importance. More than being alone, if you're in two you feel a sense of security. If we're talking of a friend, a partner or family it's even better. The number 2 is a number that depends on somebody else.

Recently, I'm having a lot of random meetings and some touching farewells.
Meetings are always good things but farewells have their good and bad sides.
I think like this because lately I fought with a friend. The reason of the fighting was a stupid thing. We got fired up about our favourite pro wrestler and we ended up to just deny what the other said. Getting more and more angry, during the quarrel we began to pull out private subjects, as if we were settling all our old grudges cursing the other with mean, dirty words. Then, at the very end, he said: "I was always alone! And I'm still now! You don't understand anything!".
Being told like this by somebody I thought was a good friend made me cry. It was so much sad, I cried like a kid. The fact that all the time we spent together until that time was denied was too painful.
1+1=2.
If you write "2" by numbers it's an only sign but if you write it in kanji it become a "二".
Parallel straight lines that never crosses.
I didn't have contacts with that friend since that day. We really became a "二".

I wondered why 2 is represented like that so I searched a little about the story of the numbers' shapes. It seems that number 2 had the shape of 二 since the origins.
If you write it with an only stroke it turns in the shape of 2.
His appereances look like 2 people, the fact that the ancient decided to part them in two is sad.
2 is 2, because there are also the ones.

I turned 20, I began to understand many things. Clearly, humans can't live all alone. They have to be supported by someone, they have to be composed by a 1+1.

About this, somebody said that "Human beings are a part of a 2 since their birth".
Since our birth we are nothing but an half part, during our lifes we go on trying to become a 1.
In the process of turning from a person "ひと" into a "人" we feel happiness, sadness and a mix of many other feelings that can't be expressed in a single word. Only like this we can turn finally in a person.
Maybe we're living our lifes with all our strenghts by our will of becoming a 1.
Because filling in our lacking half isn't a simple thing.
Where I am now? 2/3? 4/5? There are unlimited numbers near to 1, this is good.

I'm on a roll with his old essays ^__^
This one is really special, maybe it can be confusing because of the kanjis but it's a very deep thought...it moved me to tears T_T
Enjoy :)
