Saw this posted on Whedonesque. Apparently, we are going to get season eight of Buffy in the comics from Joss, himself. I'm not sure how I feel about this as Spike was with Angel in Los Angeles at the time.

I wonder how Joss will deal with the Immortal? Also, does Buffy know Spike is alive? comics, buffy season eight

I don't trust Joss any more than Marti. I love him, and I miss him, but that's how I feel. Also, I want Spike. It will be all right to see what happens to the others but I'm increasingly feeling like there will be no Spike movie and no other series. I like Joss' work so I'd be happy to see another series of some kind on, but yeah, it seems like Wonder Woman is it. I can't work up much caring for something of only 2 hours, even though I like WW.

Really, really not interested. Buffy without Spike (and Angel) is sort of like - oh, I don't know, whatever is boring without the things that make it interesting.

My interest is in whether she knew he was alive and what the deal with the Immortal is. Still, I think Joss would probably do better leaving it all alone. (which is what I think will happen..in other words, I'm not convinced about any of this)

Hm...I'm not sure if I'll buy this one or not. I might end up putting my hands over my ears and pretending that it doesn't exist. ;)

I'm torn about this - on the one hand I want more Spuffy (even just a mention of what Buffy thinks about Spike is better than none), but I'm kind of nervous about a Season 8 of Buffy without Spike. :-P
