Saw this posted on Whedonesque. Apparently, we are going to get season eight of Buffy in the comics from Joss, himself. I'm not sure how I feel about this as Spike was with Angel in Los Angeles at the time.

I wonder how Joss will deal with the Immortal? Also, does Buffy know Spike is alive? comics, buffy season eight

If Joss can't give us what he's been promising since the demise of AtS, then I'm just not interested.

I think he said this thing lead into the Spike movie. Probably a way to sell this comic, too, but I admit, I'm curious.. ;)

For me the only way to make it interesting is to join some way or another both series, I've always thought that the point of reunion is the apocalypse of Angel finale, cus truly I’m not interest in other Buffy relationships, has to be something so well written, cus this is my point, suppose ok is season 8 in TV and the Immortal is I don’t know….. Colin Farrell, well ok that way take your attention but a drawing, I don’t think so…

I've enjoyed the comics so far (especially the Spike one-shots), but I'm not too sure what I think about this. Time will tell, I suppose.
