Our foursome is now down to three. We lost one of the totally black kittens last night. We found it in a parking spot. I think it was hit by an incoming car. Squirt and Spot (the smallest and the biggest) are still with us, but I hadn't seen the other two today. Sigh...

Thank you. It just makes me sad that I couldn't do more for them.
Sigh...

You did what you could though, and you have a good heart to look out for them when you can like that. So sorry to hear, though.

I’m sorry. That’s one of the hardest parts of caring for ferals. You can’t protect them.
Are you getting hit by the current storm in CA? From what I’ve read, it’s even worse than the last one.

Thank you. I've tried hard to get them into a home, but everything fell through. Sigh...
We are. We had a knock-down, drag-out thunderstorm this morning that woke me from a sound sleep. They are warning of sudden storms with high winds and hail, along with more thunder and lightning.

They have two heated cat houses to hang out in, which they usually do. It's a mystery why he was out there unless they were playing or he was being chased by another cat and jsut didn't pay attention. They were still learning about the danger of cars.

I just hope he didn't suffer. He didn't look like he had.
