i have a copy of the lettered edition of 'in the garden of poisonous flowers' by ms. kiernan and, rather than selling it outright, i'm looking to trade it for a copy of the limited versions of 'the ammonite violin' and 'a is for alien.'

 I did actually get my copy of The Ammonite Violin last night.    It is gorgeous, just a lovely, lovely book, and the chapbook is very nicely done too.  I immediately read The Sanderlings and the introduction, which seemed a fitting one without any obvious spoilers.  Past that I only got as far as reading the first story; Madonna Littoralis, which ( Read more... )

 Is anyone else waiting impatiently for their copy of The Ammonite Violin?   Mine was pre-ordered in November and it has been a long wait.  I am sure it will be well worth it though, her work is amazing.   I have now read all of her novels, I believe, except for Beowolf,  and have been slowly collecting and reading some of her short stories.

I went looking for Lady Gaga's Bad Romance video and I found that it was used in Alexander McQueen's fashion show- it's at the end of the second video.
