Paul, abductions, and sleeeeeeep

Between seeing Paul yesterday afternoon and then watching a marathon of Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files on SyFy right before bed, I had some effed up dreams/nightmares last night. The kind where you wake up with a jolt and a bit of a yell at 3am and you can't go back to sleep because every time you close your eyes you feel like something's there. I ( Read more... )

I highly recommend it!

Nothing like a good crossover. Especially when it includes Mister Rogers and The X-Files. Though I'm liking the icon you've got there ♥

I loved Paul too! The nerd references were brilliant. My fave was when Bateman shot the radio out in his car 'Boring conversation anyway' HAN SOLO OMG

Brilliant all over.

It was nerd heaven! I think I need to see it again just to catch references I missed the first time around. I figured nothing Simon and Nick did could go wrong, but it's still always nice to be proven correct :D

I'm sorry you're feeling like shit and had a doozy of a nightmare. *HUGS* I hate nightmare of any sort, but intense or just plain kooky nightmares seem to suck even more than usual.

And in case you didn't know, I've been fascinated and SCARED TO DEATH of aliens and abductions since I was a kid.

I was scared of UFOs and little green men-type aliens for the majority of my life. I was able to watch the weird aliens on the various sci-fi series/movies as long as they weren't too creepy-looking. And if anyone tried to watch "real" documentaries on UFOs/aliens, I'd leave the room, fast. Thankfully, over time, the fear has died down. I'm sure being a sci-fi fan helped that along. :) (The Asguard on Stargate SG-1 made little gray guys less creepy, and I actually like a show called UFO, now.) The thought of meeting an alien or seeing a UFO in real life scares the crud out of me, though.

*hugs*

I blame watching The X-Files when I was younger and impressionable. It scared the crap out of me. And was also my favorite show. I was obsessed with Roswell and going UFO 'hunting'. It was crazy. I used to sleep in the attic (it was an actual room, but also very much an attic) and there was a small window on one side. I had a dream once where two aliens were outside, but the window was open and their hands were on the window sill. A couple weeks later my friend and I were at an X-Files Expo and I saw a pin there of that exact scene. It creeped the bejesus out of me.

I'm fine with TV/movie aliens (for the most part) but yeah, the idea of real aliens is something else altogether.

*hugs* Oh, yeah, The X-Files could definitely get creepy when it wanted to. o_O Yikes! That pin would've scared the wits out of me, too. That's quite the eerie coincedence.

When the X-Files really wanted to be creepy and eerie and just plain scary, it was. And yeah, I don't know what was going on with the pin. I know it's just a crazy coincidence, but it's something that kind of haunts me even to this day.
