Will you still love me tomorrow?

Or, Tuesday, actually. Called the vet's office this morning to make an appointment for TJ (he has something on his shoulder I want the vet to look at) and Neme, and they scheduled it for Monday afternoon. They told me that they'd do Neme's initial exam/shots and then make an appointment for me to bring him back for his neutering. Now I'm just kind ( Read more... )

Quincey was highly irritated with me after the first vet's visit. She ignored me for the rest of the evening, and when she had to walk past me, she'd glare at me and make this sound that pretty clearly said, "Bitch!" But then she got over it, and she tolerates the vet fairly well now.

So, here's hoping that Neme is very forgiving!

I hope so, too. My guys are always pissed at me after a vet visit, and they complain all the way up and all the way back (30 minutes each way, OMG! LOL). My worry is that since I can't trap Neme inside that he'll run away. I don't think he will since his life is pretty darned cushy for all that he stays outside, with two feedings of gushy food and a bowl of dry every day. I'm hoping food trumps shots. :-)

Good luck with Neme and the vet visit.

The cat in the icon, Wiley, was very forgiving about vet visits. Poor cat. He developed diabetes and I had to give him insulin shots twice a day. He was very good about that. I managed to give him shots for four years. While he did not live to be very old, only 12, we did extend his lifetime successfully.

My big worry, of course, is that he's never been manhandled in that way, although he's really very good with me now allowing me to pick him up for cuddles and he just *loves* getting petted and brushed. I just hope this all works out. I did let the office know his history, so at least they know what's coming.

Thanks. I don't know what's up with TJ. He has some kind of scabby bump on his shoulder, so I'm talking him in to get it checked out.

LOL

I've always been pretty lucky with my cats at the vets. They usually just bury their heads in my arms and endure. They wait until we're on the way home to voice their displeasure. The whole way home. LOL
