Lots of catchup to post today, and since I have an hour with the warm wind breezing through and the sun shining and a big glass of lemonade, here is some. Fear my way with words, people!

I thought the episode itself did a good job of undermining the Doctor's high moral stance, and also explaining why he's taken it. He committed genocide on his entire race, as well as the Daleks. He had to do it, but it sucked bottom, and if anything was gonna convince him that war and weapons are a no-no, it was that. As for teh other probs with the episode, well, see my post.

Re: next week's ep. If you like the sound of that and haven't seen Black Orchid, I recommend it. Edwardian melodrama and murder mystery that the Doctor et al just walk into not to mention the semi-nakedness and Peter's awesome cricketingRe: Supernatural. Hmm, your analysis of how it potrays sibling dynamics makes me like it a whole lot less (as a younger simbling who's been pigeonholed and shat upon by her sister, I have a chip about assumptions made concerning sibling dynamics - she will never consider me to be a real person, and so she is frequently mad and mean when I don't fit her idea of how younger siblings behave; but these are my issues...); but I ( ... )

You know, I just watched the latest of Dr. Who and I've just realized that the tenants opposite me must think I'm demented. I sit at my desk facing the window and flail.

Also, I love that Donna just... asks all the right questions. She is so made of awesome.

I have to admit that, despite really not wanting to, I rather liked the Doctor's spinoff candy 'daughter.' I mean, sometimes she was a bit TOO GORRAM perky, but she was cool. I actually preferred the main plot of the episode to the fandom pot-stirring going on, though. And I agree on Donna. I mean, seriously, what better person is there to solve new problems on the fly while being uprooted constantly than a temp??? FTW

Next week, though, NEXT WEEK!!!
