... in which your daddy's rich and your mom's good looking

I am all yawny and sleepy, but I figured a random update of, er, randomness was probably more than overdue, so here goes:

- I went to the Kennedy Center, and West Wing geeked. I stood by the fountain thing that CJ stands by in that episode where she shouts that she's great in bed. This amused me very, very much. And I walked past the hospital ( Read more... )

The Metro is the darkest and loudest in the world? I'm a DC native and I agree about it being dark but the loud award goes to the NYC subway I think. And I have to ask, did you make it to the Natural History Museum or the American History Museum?

As a former native (and frequent visitor of the general DC area) I have to agree. And at least it's semi-clean, right?

And the zoo! Go to the National Zoo. Because, y'know, zoo's rock and that one is the rockinest of them all.

It's surprisingly clean for a metro, totally. :)

And hmm, I shall have to see what I can do about going to that zoo, then.

If you've been to the San Diego Zoo or the Bronx Zoo, ours actually seems a little sad because the habitats are smaller. Otherwise, it is an awesome zoo.

I saw the trailer for the new HP film yesterday. Looks like it's going to rock in a dark and slightly spooky way. hopefully.

Ho-lee hamsterdancing heuristic Baby Jayzuss! I read every word of that fandom essay you linked to. Every blessed sad brain-melting word, I say. And my entire reaction to this "Hymn O. Tany"'s blathering boils down to two things:

1. S/he really, really needs to get out for some fresh air. I mean really. Did I mention really?

2. S/he appears to have grabbed hir Introduction to Philosophy 101 course-notes and just splatted them onto the page, just because, well, just because. Ouch!

However, I will award hir a gold star for the most long-winded and dedicated blathering since Umberto Eco's Five Moral Pieces :D

The D.C. subway has nothing on Cologne in the loud and dark factors. (I actually rather *like* the D.C. subway. :-)

Glad you're still having fun!

Oh!!! How long will you be in DC? Or have you left already? I'd love to meet up for dinner if you have time. :)
