Characters: KKM cast, yes, that means you too, Yozak. GET IN THERE. Location: The Park Rating: ...it's KKM, who knows. (shouldn't be higher than PG-13) Time: Noon Description: Picnic time!
It had taken him all morning to finish making the curry, but with Conrad's help, Yuuri had been able to finish it all in time. With the container of steamed rice swinging enthusiastically in his hand, The young Maou peered cheerfully at Conrad as he said, "I'm glad that we managed to get it all done in time! I don't think I would have got it all finished if you hadn't helped."
Making his way towards the park, Yuuri's expression brightened as he caught sight of Gwendal just off in the distance. He raised his free hand up, and began waving it back and forth while he called out in excitement, "Yoohoo! Gwendal!"
It looked like the other Mazoku had managed to get everything all prepared. Waah Gwendal had worked so hard! Luckily he could repay his friend with the curry that he'd made!
Gwenda had been opening the basket and pulling out the paper plates and cups and utensils when he heard His Majesty calling. Shifting his gaze from the basket to the approaching duo of His Majesty and his younger brother, Gwendal simply nodded and waited for them to get to the blanket.
He saw the pot and raised a brow. "And what did you bring, Your Majesty?"
Conrart smiled at Yuuri "I'm certain you would have made splendid curry even without my help." in his own hand he held his own humble contribution to the picnic in accordance of his partner- a huge box of canoli. His partner did seem to be quite obsessed with it, maybe the others would like it to. He nodded towards his brother and set the box down next to his jar of desserts.
"I think you're giving me too much credit there, Conrad." Yuuri said with a laugh in his voice. While Conrad had been polite about it, the young Maou definitely knew that the curry wouldn't have turned out even half as good as it was without his help, and for that he was thankful.
Approaching the area that Gwendal had picked, Yuuri didn't hesitate in openly admiring the scenery. "Woah! This spot is perfect!" He said while to them both before smiling broadly at Gwendal and holding up his prize. "I made everyone curry!" Yuuri cheerfully announced before bending down to place the container on the ground. Rubbing at the back of his head, the young Maou glanced between the two as he admitted, "Conrad helped me make it though."
By an oak tree, you say? By then, Yuuri and Co. really shouldn't have been surprised. It was a common enough occurrence in their world to hear the branches of an overhead tree rustling, coupled with the sudden descent of a tall and beamingly sunshiney spy. One could almost say that Yozak's real job was to make sudden and grand entrances, appearing from out of nowhere in what was always an opportune time. In this case, the 'opportunity' was a home-cooked meal.
"Everything looks good, your majesty!" If vaporizing out of thin air didn't give his identity away immediately, that slow, contented drawl most definitely would. And there Yozak stood, picking little bits of tree out of his hair, looking for all the world that he was having the best day of his life.
Yes, by the oak tree. Somehow, Gwendal wasn't all that surprised when his subordinate appeared out of said tree, full of twigs in that obnoxiously orange hair. Though he had to wonder how long Jozak had been here and why he chose only now to show himself.
Conrart's eyes shot up at the first sound from the tree top and grew wider. If he'd still be holding the box of canoli he was pretty sure he would have embarrassed himself by dropping it to the floor. If he was a more emotional man he might have run up to the man but he wasn't. And besides, he knew Yozak could see all he was feeling regardless- he had that pesky talent to read through his masks whether he wanted him to or not.
"Yozak-!" he couldn't help smiling, really. It was selfish of him but he was happy beyond words to see his best friend again.
Lucky for Conrart, Yozak was not exactly shy about being relieved to see all of his friends. Conrart was the proud recipient of an arm around his shoulder, and Yozak used him to lean against while he gave in his report to Gwendal. Things never changed, no matter how much the backdrop might.
"Ah, your excellency! I couldn't give myself away too early, you know."
Plate's, cups, cutlerly... there really was everything, and Yuuri couldn't help but be impressed with Gwendal's work. He knew that he couldn't have done the job nearly half as good as Gwendal did.
He was really looking forward to seeing everyone together again. Things had been so hectic lately that there simply hadn't been any time, but he wanted to make the best of it all.
Leaning forward to help neaten up the pile of plates, Yuuri glanced around looking to see if anything else was needed. Maybe he should have brought more than just the curry? He knew that there hadn't been enough time, but maybe there might have been if he hadn't gotten so distracted at the supermarket.
Aaa why had he allowed himself to have gotten so distracted?

As cliched as it was, Saralegui did believe in arriving fashionably late. Not because it was fashionable, of course, but because it was easier to plan for what was to come if he could see who was there as he came, intead of waiting obliviously and being surprised by those who would come after him

Cheerfully chatting with the others, Yuuri found his attention shifting as he caught sight of someone else approaching. It didn't take long before he realised just who it was, and his expression brightened instantly.
"Yoho! Sara!" The young Maou called out while waving his hand up high. Scrambling back up to his feet, Yuuri moved over to greet his friend, "You're not late at all! Right on time."
He was glad that the other king had come to join them, and Yuuri couldn't be happier. That fact was obvious on his expression as Yuuri asked, "Have you met everyone yet?"
Grinning as he came close to his friend, and holding out the box of cookies he'd grabbed from a small shop on the way over, Sara shrugged.
"Not 'met' exactly," he said casually, glancing over his friend's shoulder as if taking in the group for the first time, "But you've told me so much about everyone, and I've spoken with most over the PDAs at least..."
I know you love it XDa_r0yal_flushApril 26 2010, 17:29:49 UTC
"Here, let me take those for you!" Yuuri offered as he reached over to relieve Sara of the cookies. "Waah these look delicious. Thank you, Sara."
There was no doubt to the fact that he liked seeing Sara so happy, and the fact that he was here with them made it all the better. "Oh, really? I'm sorry! I didn't realise!" He said with surprise before gesturing to the others as he introduced them, "This is Conrad, Gwendal and Yozak."
Stepping out to the side to allow Sara to pass him, he gestured for his friend to take a seat with them as he asked, "You didn't have any problems finding us, did you?"
late to the game as usual.heikaaaaApril 26 2010, 16:29:50 UTC
Günter turned up a bit late, as it were, since he was still trying desperately to learn this place's layout. It had taken him a bit longer to make it to the gathering, but once he was there, he made his presence known by throwing himself dramatically into the fray and exclaiming, "YOUR MAJEEEEEEEEEEESTY! Your faithful servant Günter has arrived!"
But we still love you <3a_r0yal_flushApril 26 2010, 17:00:54 UTC
Yuuri was busy organising everything while Gunter approached. There were a few bottles of drinks and an array of food to go around, and he couldn't have been happier. This was what he wanted for everyone. Things had been hectic with the battle and Wolfram's disappearance that he thought that everyone could use some time to relax.
He found his movements fumbling at Gunter's rather loud arrival. Dropping the few paper plates in his hand, the young Maou stared in wide-eyed surprise at his teacher, "G-Gunter!" It took him a moment to get over his surprise before his expression lit up with a smile, "I'm glad that you could make it!"
Gwendal sighed at Gunter's dramatic display and caught the plates His Majesty dropped, setting them back in their rightful position. "Good afternoon, Gunter."
d-does this mean you'll let me touch you inappropiately, your highness?!heikaaaaApril 26 2010, 21:58:39 UTC
Günter nodded, enthusiastically, at his king, hands clasped tightly and a dreamy look in his eyes. "Any opportunity to see His Majesty is one I simply cannot pass!" he explained, nodding his head matter-of-factly.
He turned to towards Gwendal, amused. "You as well, Lord von Voltaire. How have you fared?"
