Arashi surveyed her surroundings with narrowed eyes, trying to find anything that would help them in their fight with Adachi. The reduced visibility due to the rain and fog was certainly no help, but they'd just have to do their best.

She and China had done their best to squeeze in as much training as possible in between all the other preparations that had needed to be done, and they were as ready as they could be given the circumstances.

Gritting her teeth, she drew herself up, tried not to dwell on what Adachi had put her through when he'd captured her months ago. Instead, she channeled all of that into energy for this battle and tried to keep her emotions from getting the better of her.

This would end one way or another today, after all.

At his words, she felt some of the tenseness in her limbs ease, and she turned her head slightly in his direction. It was odd how much comfort she took from his presence now. She supposed she was getting used to having him by her side (which worried her. She didn't want to get too dependent on him but now was not the time to dwell on such things and ----).

She nodded in response and held her hand out to him.

"Shall we?"

EAST OF SHIBUSEN - round 2. caution_taped March 13 2010, 17:53:03 UTC
What the hell was wrong with these people?

Why wouldn't they just die so he could go kill the ones his blood really burned for.

The North side hadn't gone well, the little bastards there had put up resistance - and Adachi wasn't in the mood to split hairs. He wanted inside, and he wanted it now. The mountain of shadows surrounding his body was still ridiculous in size, putting him almost at the height of the building - but there were deep gashes in the blob that burned a sickening hue of scarlet. In order to fill them, size would sacrificed to maintain a solid form.

Angry and desperate, he struck again - this time with a giant shadow fist that actually shattered the wall it struck and sank into the first room on the other side. Far too small for Adachi to fit in, but the scent of his bait seemed to leak out from the hole - and he swelled with bloodlust.

Rhode was examining the axe she'd been given while she waited for something to happen; it was rather interesting to imagine what someone could do to a person with it, and she had a very slight smile on her face at her imaginings. Maybe an axe wasn't so bad after all. She would just have to get used to the weight of it.

There was noise and bother about the battle starting on another side of the place, but she wasn't very concerned about it. They wouldn't let anyone without a stupid person-as-a-weapon really get in on the fight, anyways. They were just a last-ditch effort, if it came down to disaster.

When she finally saw him-- it-- come around the corner, Rhode was surprised at how impressive his size was. Of course, she'd seen Level 4 and other big monstrosities, but this was just ridiculous. Rhode glanced down at her useless axe again, letting out an irritated sigh.

"Well, this is just typical--" She was interrupted by his attack on the building, and she started moving rather quickly in an attempt to avoid any debris.

"An axe. ( ... )

"..." He waved the gigantic blade he was holding. "Not the best choice, I say. Just hack at him."

Not being able to see the enemy was hardly a blessing in disguise; it only served to make him all the more aware of what he was up against. Huge, indeed. The oppressive pressure from Adachi almost felt as though it was coming off in waves. And the one thing Hirohiko could come up with in response would be to retaliate, handicapped as he might be, to shave off some of that oppressiveness.

Well then. This was going to be either fantastic or disastrous. If it turned out well, it would be fun as hell. If it didn't, well, dying was gonna be fun as hell. Squalo balanced subtly on his feet, swaying just barely as he felt adrenaline gathering and getting ready to send him off a spree. He tried to reign it in as much as possible, though, that wasn't his role in this.

He wasn't sure he really liked his role in this, and he looked sideways at his current 'partner' with a bit of unease, which evaporated swiftly when he remembered that if it didn't work, he'd just figure out something else.

Squalo crouched down, resting his arms on his bent knees, and set himself to wait. It wouldn't be long now, he could smell it.

Yamamoto could hear it. He could feel it, like unseen watchers, could feel the hairs on the back of his neck rising with each passing moment. It was the same sensation he knew before each game, before he stepped up to plate. It was the same before each battle, before he or his friends stepped up onto the ring (classroom, boxing ring, or water-logged school wing).

He supposed he could have called the thrill running along his spine 'excitement'.

"Ready?" he asked, hands in the pockets of his vest, bobbing lightly on the balls of his feet, a runner on the brink of flight.

Squalo barked a laugh and propelled himself upwards. He was getting the hang of this transformation thing, really, and all that excitement and bloodlust ringing in his veins only made it easier.

"VOOOII, Let's do this!" He said, before he felt himself melting and falling at Yamamoto's hands.

It was time to have some goddamn fun in this rotten place.

She was scared.

Not that good sort of scared she got from watching those horror movies she was so found of.

Funny...she had been so confident about everything. She and Hungary had trained so much, she always thought herself fairly fit, but now with the battle so quickly approaching it hit her in the face.

This was a war. People could die. She could die. The pouring rain seemed so appropriate.

"Sacre bleu, what has DiDi gotten herself into..."

It was nearly driving her insane, this wait. Her eyes went towards the team situated next to them, eyes softening a bit. He looked so young.

They'd get through this.

((ooc; Moonster~ I left it vague since I don't know if you want Hungary in her human form or weapon form. As for the other people, HungaDi's position is 2.1 so any others near there feel free to interact, even if they aren't the partnered people (Ling/Watanuki) she is looking at

On a last note I have a 14 hour trip home so uh. I won't be replying still late tonight))

Still in her human form, Hungary stood calmly next to her partner. The rain had turned her hair dark and she was glad her weapon form would keep it from her eyes. She looked steadily at her partner before putting her hand on the blondes shoulder, "DiDi, we will get through this." She was smiling, more for reassurance. This sort of battle....really, she had never fought anything like this. Yet she knew it would have to be like every battle she'd fought. Her people's strength was now something she had to use herself.

"Ready?" She asked softly before turning into the bright black pan, what little light reflecting almost menacingly off of it.

The hand on her shoulder really did help, and it reminded DiDi that while she had little experience, Hungary had more than enough for the both of them. There was still a bit of unease swirling in her stomach, but she supposed that everyone, regardless of experience or confidence felt at least a little bit of uncertainty.

She nodded, and reached out, grabbing the handle of the frying [an tightly in her hands.

As they began to resonate, she felt strength flowing through her and she closed her mind for a moment to let it wash over her--give her more confidence.

She gave a quick practice swing.

Adachi hadn't show his face yet. Or whatever the hell he had not, who could be sure the bastard now had in place of any face or body. Small tents had been erected on the roof were the medics were gathered--a good thing too with the sudden rain that had come.

Each person who hadn't come to her clinic to pick up a backpack of supplies had been issued one upon their arrival, and a tiny tent for their patients, each which could fit up to about four people, medics included.

She was just hoping that they would all remain as empty as possible, but prepared for an overfill.

((all medics here! We won't have much to do till someone gets injured so again some mingling~

Won't be able to respond till late at night))

"Sakura-chan!" Tomoyo's voice was pitched as loud as she could to be heard over the sounds of battle. She clutched the PDA in her hand, looking around for her friend amidst the milling individuals who had chosen to help with healing. She approached her friend cautiously, not wanting to surprise Sakura if she was working on something important.

"Sakura-chan?"
