Armstrong stood at the ready, poised to use the strength and skills handed down through generations of the Armstrong Family to defeat Adachi! Their foe was strong, but they would prevail!

But there was more than just a fight where the enemies where clear at stake. Thanks to Alphonse, Armstrong knew that some of those who were fighting on their side had other intentions. Intentions that would endanger the future safety of this city. Armstrong did not lightly fight another comrade. He would do everything he could to prevent these misguided allies from being hurt. But he would stop them, because he must.

With a proud look at his Weapon, Laura - she was not an Armstrong, but she had strength and skill to match that of his illustrious family! - Armstrong awaited Adachi's arrival.

[[ooc: Kae, I'll leave it up to you to assume whether Laura has already transformed. Also! Armstrong and Laura are team 1.1, so others nearby (Allen and England in particular, since they're stationed next to them) can interact and whatnot \o/]]

Lavi stood far off from the center of the battlefield not yet ready to throw himself into the fray. There would be time when the fighting would rise when he could visibly see exactly everything he was there to witness; for both his own sake and Shibusen's. Inwardly being given this task helped ease the stress of the Shadow incident off his mind, pushing him back to his duty.

Focusing on the battle before him he fell back into cool indifference to those around him. He wasn't here to fight alongside them this time and strangely it wasn't all that hard to disassociate himself from them. He was only a spectator. Somewhere close by he knew Ping and her pet lizard were near.

A short distance away from the burly muscled pillar of a man was Allen, who was really feeling his own size in comparison. He didn't normally care for such things--he had never been one of the largest fighters back at the Order but... Wow, that guy was huge.

He took in a deep breath and then exhaled it with a sigh before putting forward a smile that he hoped would express that he was looking forward to working near this man and certainly had his back.

He glanced toward his temporary weapon then, giving a slightly more friendly and less purely polite smile to him.

"How are you feeling so far, Arthur?"

[ooc: Of course assuming that Allen and Arthur are both also in position here :D]

Souji sat in silence, fingers steepled at and covering his mouth and chin as he surveyed the entrance of the Kishin chamber ( ... )

Kanji had only been in Death City for a few a days. An eventful few days, mind you, where he had found all of his friends again, met a few new ones (budding friendships, if he could even call them that yet) and found himself a partner, for the time being at least. Said partner, Heather Mason, was currently with him as they entered the Kishin Chamber underneath Death City, their assigned sport for the battle against Adachi.

He honestly never thought he'd be fighting this battle again. And yet, there he was.

Sighing, he ran his hands through his hair and looked over at Heather, opening his mouth to say something, when he spotted Souji. Jogging over to him, he offered him a nod, too wrapped up in his own thoughts to smile. "Yo, Souji-senpai. We're here," he said before pausing. "Oh uh. I dunno if you know 'er, but this is my...partner," it felt weird saying that. That was Yosuke's thing, right? "Heather."

Heather wandered up behind Kanji, her careworn expression looking all the more bleak and weary in the dark light of the Kishin Chamber. Her brown eyes tilted to regard Souji, and she nodded a sparse greeting as she stopped at her partner's side. She glanced around the chamber with a momentarily keen glance, then shrugged, as if their surroundings wouldn't make a bit of difference in what she felt until the battle began. This place had nothing on the world lodged in Claudia's nightmares.

"Hey." She said briefly.
