Late afternoon, basketball court usedforcepalm September 17 2011, 06:55:49 UTC
Hanabi had passed by people playing the game before and watched for a minute or so, but she'd never asked if she could join them and play. Still, Riku had encouraged her to try new things just for the sake of having fun and she couldn't honestly say she'd gotten around to doing that just yet. Basketball looked like it could be fun, so she plunked down a park bench when she saw Clare playing and observed her while she threw the ball through the hoop.

"That's right," said Hanabi. She'd be more surprised except upon thinking about it, she remembered seeing the older girl at morning training, and spotting her speaking to Neji at one point. There were enough people who knew Hanabi at morning training that her name could have come up briefly during a conversation.

"What's your name?"

Her gaze went from the ball to the hoop and back to Clare again. Did she want to try? She supposed it couldn't hurt. The small ten year old got up off the park pench and approached Clare.

"What do I have to do? Just throw it in?"

Basketball Court dwells_ondreams September 18 2011, 06:28:26 UTC
Harry hadn't really ever been good at sports when he lived at his Muggle home, but with the loss of Quiddich, he felt the need to do something active and had wandered to the basketball court that day.

He spotted Clare when he arrived there and watched her quietly for a moment, not really sure if she wanted to be disturbed. But there didn't seem any harm in it, so he approached her and raised a hand in a wave.

"Hello there."

Harry blinked a bit, giving a glance behind him to see if something startling was going on that was causing her to act so strange. But no, it was just him here. He looked back to Clare and shook his head a little, feeling awkward now.

"No, it's okay... I didn't mean to disturb you," he gave a little gesture to the hoop, his gaze falling to the ball that had gone so far from it, "I just... it's easier to play with someone else sometimes."

He felt silly now, thinking it sounded lame the way it came out.

The Mall! devoted_sinner September 19 2011, 07:51:50 UTC
[Christmas. Viede had certainly heard of it in the past, considering his enemy was the religious Order. The Elders had warned them about the threats these humans made being a demon and all. Even so, it wasn't that he despised the practice but rather truly couldn't be bothered with it for one. They had their own troubles in the demon society so given the chance to be enveloped by it with minimal concerns of other things felt a bit odd to say the least.

Looking through the bedding section himself, the giant man had his arms crossed and a hand to his chin. His expression was never lively, more stoic than anything, but the slight bend up in his brow and pulled lips hinted that he was having trouble deciding on which to choose.]

He silently moved over to allow the girl to pass and quietly observed her select something. A female human. The women seemed to always be more keen to this sort of thing. He never had to worry about the domestic tasks around the house. He was a soldier. Viede contemplated whether he should ask her for advice. What harm could it do? He didn't want to bother Shader while she was working on her project for something as petty as this.

"Which is good for this type of weather?" the large man asked from behind her.

Despite her relatively short time here, Luna had already gotten fairly familiar with the bookstore. At home, she had a tendency to always be reading several things at once thanks to a desire for knowledge that only amplified when she was in a new place, regardless of danger levels. On this particular day, it was fortunate that the store wasn't very busy: she'd discovered a series entitled Deathly's Believe it or Not! and was attempting to navigate the shop's section dedicated to astrology while already holding quite a few rather large books ( ... )

Luna paused, still surprised that people were bothering to remember her as anything besides "that weird girl who believes in nargles". She didn't remember this girl as anybody she had talked to about the moon, but that was what happened when one used a public network, so it didn't seem very strange for her to know Luna's name. "Yes, that's me. Did you want to join us then? You could've come, everyone was invited."
