Kaoru stopped her own set of strokes to run a hand through her black bangs, glancing at him curiously, managing to look suspicious. "You just want to stop practicing. "

He shook his head. "That's not it. I just don't think training's going to be very effective today." He paused before continuing. "There's been a lot happening lately. Maybe instead of training, we can do some thinking."

His statement was purposefully vague, giving Kaoru the option of addressing her personal issues or the catastrophes in world affairs.

Kaoru's right eyetwitched, whacking him with the back of her sword without even opening her eyes.

"What sort of stupid answer is that? THINKING? ...And I'd rather have hot chocolate! Coffee makes you crazy, I hear."
