Laura came around sometime later, dressed in something easy to move around in but not loose enough to be obstructive. The girl studied her surroundings for a moment before looking for Ash; it did not take her too long to find him.

"Ready," she said, the moment she was close enough.

Ash was stuck in his single outfit, but it had never really hindered him before. When he heard Laura he stood up, determination and enthusiasm shinning in his amber eyes.

"You bet I am."

Laura nodded, and evened out her footing.

"How do you wish to proceed?"

"H-honestly? Uhm...anything really. I mean, I can throw a punch I guess but that's not gonna help much around here."

He watched her footing, setting his own feet apart as well. If only he'd had a fighting pokemon long enough to train it. Then maybe he'd know a bit more about what he was doing.

That was something she was much more comfortable with. Laura's expression visibly eased up, and she nodded.

"I will try to."

The girl pondered for a moment, trying to figure out the best way to start without being dependent on gear that she was sure they did not have.

"What do you know about boxing so far?"

"Uhm..." He thought a little back on that, it had been a while since he'd been in the P1 Grand Prix. "I know the strength training." He'd gone through it with Primeape.

"Not sure what else is actually boxing, heh." He tended to be a bit unorthodox in his fighting methods; both his own and those involving his pokemon.

Laura listened to the other intently, and eventually concluded that perhaps the best test was truly a practical one.

"Let us spar, then," she said, dropping into another stance. "I can comment on your progress as we go along."

[OOC: I-I suck at fighting scenes, so maybe we can timeskip sometime later? How do you want this to go?]

"S-spar?" Okay...he should have figured he'd have to do something like that eventually. He laughed nervously and nodded, "Alright, just...well."

((ooc: Timeskip is cool o/! She's gonna pretty much kick his butt, but he might show some good dodging/jumping/surprise moves. He's pretty unorthodox and special~))
