"Uhm..." He thought a little back on that, it had been a while since he'd been in the P1 Grand Prix. "I know the strength training." He'd gone through it with Primeape.
"Not sure what else is actually boxing, heh." He tended to be a bit unorthodox in his fighting methods; both his own and those involving his pokemon.
"S-spar?" Okay...he should have figured he'd have to do something like that eventually. He laughed nervously and nodded, "Alright, just...well."
((ooc: Timeskip is cool o/! She's gonna pretty much kick his butt, but he might show some good dodging/jumping/surprise moves. He's pretty unorthodox and special~))
weee! annnd i have to wait for the movie to get fighting pics of ash ;.;pkmn_heroNovember 8 2009, 19:19:51 UTC
As soon as she said enough, Ash feel to his knees. That...had been intense, he hadn't been involved in a direct human to human fight in a while. He sat back to catch his breath before looking up at Laura.
He was pretty sure his left shoulder was going to be sore (not to mention his sides) but, that megavolt grin was still on his face.
"You're good, Laura." he said honestly before falling back on the grass.
OH I SHOULD... go and dig up the Ash icons I found. S-somewhere.kidkittyclawsNovember 9 2009, 13:55:52 UTC
...That was... unexpected.
Laura blinked at her companion with open surprise, not quite knowing how to respond. She could not really remember the last time she had been the recipient of any sort of approval. Much less the last time anyone had smiled at her like that.
WEEEEE~ and awww, Laura xDpkmn_heroNovember 9 2009, 14:03:05 UTC
He sat up straight, rubbing his shoulder and nodding, "You deserve it." He was honestly impressed, which was actually hard to do in situation like this. Though, he was pretty hopeful that he'd learn how to do at least half of that.
"But pretty soon, I know I'll give you a real challenge, alright?" It sounded more like a promise then anything else- Ash's normal competitive streak coming out.
Standing up, he held his hand out to her, "I know I picked a good trainer."
Ash blinked and glanced at her, for a second he thought that had been his stomach; he was pretty hungry at the moment. He turned towards the main street of the city.
"My friend always said, after a good training session the best reward is a great food. So, come on! There should be some place open to eat."
He took her hand, starting to lead towards one of the open restaurants, his own stomach grumbling in agreement with the idea of food.
"I will try to."
The girl pondered for a moment, trying to figure out the best way to start without being dependent on gear that she was sure they did not have.
"What do you know about boxing so far?"

"Let us spar, then," she said, dropping into another stance. "I can comment on your progress as we go along."
[OOC: I-I suck at fighting scenes, so maybe we can timeskip sometime later? How do you want this to go?]

She knew better than to go all out though. This was about teaching, not about killing.

Sometime later, the girl backed off after her last strike, and wiped the sweat off her brow.
"That is enough for now."
[OOC: Your call on how you want Ash to have done, and how he's positioned now!]

But... it makes her feel... good. In a way that she has not felt in a long time.
Laura took Ash's hand and smiled.
"I will do my best. And I will look forward to it. You, fighting me again, on even terms."

He couldn't tell that she felt a little awkward, it was just Ash to be friendly and outgoing. Especially with people willing to help him.
Reply
She could get used to this sort of warmth. It was detrimental in a mission and it was something she could not entirely understand, but that was fine.
[OOC: We can probably end like this, or with another tag from your end. ♥]

((ooc: Unless you want Ash to be Ash and drag off for breakfast xD, we can end here ^^))

At least until her stomach grumbled. She had not realized how all that activity had made her hungry.
[OOC: ...Okay no let's end with Laura getting dragged off to breakfast, because that sounds so adorable.]

And Laura pretty much let herself get dragged off, blinking, willed back into her usual I-have-no-idea-how-to-react silence.
At least the company was... pleasant? Was she allowed to think that? Perhaps so.
