Laura came around sometime later, dressed in something easy to move around in but not loose enough to be obstructive. The girl studied her surroundings for a moment before looking for Ash; it did not take her too long to find him.
"Ready," she said, the moment she was close enough.
Ash was stuck in his single outfit, but it had never really hindered him before. When he heard Laura he stood up, determination and enthusiasm shinning in his amber eyes.
no prob! i have to go to work soon soo I'll be slow too o/pkmn_heroNovember 3 2009, 14:09:34 UTC
"H-honestly? Uhm...anything really. I mean, I can throw a punch I guess but that's not gonna help much around here."
He watched her footing, setting his own feet apart as well. If only he'd had a fighting pokemon long enough to train it. Then maybe he'd know a bit more about what he was doing.
So how strong do you think Ash is? And how experienced?kidkittyclawsNovember 3 2009, 14:17:55 UTC
"Basics."
A very slight frown, then a nod, as if she was deciding something for herself. Laura then moved forward, estimating, on instinct, Ash's reach perfectly.
((OOC: Well, from a few episodes he can easily carry about 150 lbs of dead weight for a long time and he can jump, flip and run pretty damn well. Experience though...not much beyond basic knowledge.))
"Hit you?!" Wait...but Brock said never hit a girl. Though this was training and she was his teacher- which meant he had to listen to her no matter what.
Balling his hand into a fist, he look at her with uncertainty before shaking his head, "If...your sure..." He had a decent idea on how to punch, so that's what he did. A straight punch towards her should, figuring he couldn't do much if he hit her there.
He nodded and pulled his fist back. This was hard for him but he still managed to throw a punch that would knock most boys his age down. He sputtered a little afterward.
"Nn, how was that?" He was wincing a little, waiting for her to pull out a fan or something like Misty used to do.
She did not flinch. At all. It was like she had not even been on the receiving end of a punch in the first place.
"Decent speed. Strength needs work. Your stance is the problem," Laura declared, as she rounded over and attempted to shift Ash's limbs and person about, as though he were little else but a doll.
you have no idea how funny this image is xD /gives you coffee!pkmn_heroNovember 4 2009, 01:50:07 UTC
"My. Dominant leg?" The tone was a little new, but Ash sort of got the idea that she was focused. He tended to not say much while he was busy- only what needed to be said.
They're so cute, aren't they. X3 /yaaaaay coffee!kidkittyclawsNovember 4 2009, 02:10:56 UTC
"The one you use for support, whenever your dominant arm is in motion."
She's not impatient because she doesn't actually know what that means. And now she's finished shifting him around, and has stepped back, looking him over.
they are xD!pkmn_heroNovember 4 2009, 02:14:41 UTC
"Oh..." Yeah not really getting it but, it sounded like it should of made sense so. He stays in the position he put her in: feet closer together and not quite as angled. His shoulders felt different too but, that was a little hard to see. He glanced at himself, nodding as he got the feel for this new position.
It felt natural at least, though he was still trying to put more weight on his right leg.
"Alright!" His eyes shone again, "This is how it starts, right?"
"Ready," she said, the moment she was close enough.

"How do you wish to proceed?"

It might have looked weird and maybe a little creepy, but Laura was hardly aware of such trivial concerns.

"Sooo? What are we starting with?"

"I am certain."
Another slight frown.
"Do not think about holding back."
She needed to measure his strength, after all.

"What's wrong with my stance." He let her move him around, trying to keep his balance and not topple over on top of her.

She was speaking in the curt, clipped and distracted tone of someone very much occupied with what she was doing.

"I'm not really sure what that means."
