[Someone else is feeling just as lost. Everyone was talking about "swimsuits" on the magical little box, so Aurora decided that she needed to get one for herself too, if she would be coming along on this adventure. She was only 7 centuries off herself, wandering around in a great blue dress.

She feels a little shy on her own with all these strange people, but she recognizes Jules from when she first arrived (and remembers he was very polite) and lifts a hand to wave at him. Though he's a guy so maybe it's a bit bold of her, but...this is an emergency]

[Good, that is exactly the reaction he wanted.]

It is indeed. It's meant to stay out of one's way while one is swimming, as far as I can gather.

[ so terrified by this prospect. ]

But... you may as well be -- oh my.

As you can see, the fashion of this time is a bit, shall we say, awkward. Although I'm sure there must be something better somewhere in the city.

[ seriously, she has to wear that?!!

she smiles kindly at Jules though. ]

I think we had better start searching then, hm? Or perhaps we could ask for some help.

[He's almost tempted to suggest that she just... wear a normal dress. Like a true lady.]

Yes, I think asking an employee here would be best.

[And he looks around for one, hoping that they're not all busy with similarly confused shoppers.]

[ She's half tempted to just do that anyway. But she does want to fit in with everyone... ]

All right. I'll look for one too. Everyone is so strangely dressed, though, it's hard for me to tell.

[Searching, searching...]

They tend to have name tags, I think. These stores were clearly not meant for people like us.

...ah, there's somebody.

No, not at all. [ her first time ever in a store at all, in fact.

but she waves over politely at the person she believes Jules is indicating. ]

Excuse me! Are there any other swimsuits?

[dofaye]

[The confused employee points out that there are, in fact, plenty of swimsuits... but apparently no decent ones. Once they leave, Jules sighs.]

Well, at least there are things that we can use to cover ourselves.

Oh my. [well that wasn't very helpful!]

[She gives an uncertain eye back to the swimsuits.] Yes thank goodness! It all seems very.....[scandalous] ...um....What do the boys wear?

Not those!

[EVEN MORE SCANDALIZED nobody wants to see him in a tiny bottom okay.]

They're more similar to... short pants.

[He gestures to the men's section, where some speedos are prominently displayed. Oops.]

Oh...

[ no SHE'S the scandalized one. why do girls have to wear tiny bottoms!!! ]

I would rather wear something like that. [ with a top of course. ]

[dofaye]

Yes, well.

[Ahem!]

We ought to stop staring and try to wear something, oughtn't we? Shopping isn't much of a spectator sport.

Oh. Um, yes. I suppose you're right.

[ she pauses a few moments to shuffle through some of the women's bathing suits. Ahh, they're all so embarrassing D: She pulls a pink one off the rack. ]

What do you think of this one?

The colour seems like it would be nice on you. I've never been one to wear pink, but it's very princess-like.

[He's not going to comment on the cut, of course.]
