Calming Wave Community Side
Made and occupied about a year after Spirit’s death, this communal is where the ‘guests’ of Shibusen and select residents fled after Shibusen proved unable to meet the needs of its people. It’s protected from the madness by its residents who have the Calming Wavelength meister ability, and the community itself is comprised of a network of tunnels and caves dug into a mountain. The base is surrounded by rocky terrain, although vegetation flourishes here better than anywhere else in that part of America, which allows the community to remain decently fed despite the war.
The Calming Wavelength Community is a constant work in progress and living conditions are significantly better now than when it was just starting. It’s a fairly rough encampment, but a lot of effort has been made to make it feel less like a refugee camp and more like a home. The walls are well-worn, the furniture makeshift but comfortable, and above all, the atmosphere is fairly peaceful. Supplies tend to be sparse and electricity is strictly rationed for the necessary appliances, but the residents make do with what they have and depend largely on their environment for survival.
The exact location of the community is difficult to pinpoint. Visitors can easily make it to the area, but once there, you don’t find it -- they find you. Needless to say, security is very tight and the residents are very careful. Patrol groups head out every day to keep watch over the community.
Like any small community, gossip spreads fast in the CW camp. The moment Kanda and Yuuri arrive, news starts circulating about their appearance throughout the camp, turning CWC into a buzz of gossip. After a long briefing period in China's quarters, the two are immediately allowed to mingle with the rest of the CWC crowd, with strict warnings not to leave the place. They are housed, and asked to help out with work in the gardens and supplies of CWC. But it is only after Shibusen's message from Death the Kid arrived that CWC finds out about Winry and Miranda's arrival in Shibusen. A reply is immediately sent to Shibusen. The rest of the community starts realizing that the two camps are now hosts to four figures who disappeared ten years ago.
Timeline:
DtK briefs Winry and Miranda on the 1st and sends a letter to CWC.
CWC briefs Kanda and Yuuri on the 1st.
China gets letter from Shibusen on the 3rd, formal announcement to CWC on the same day. Sends reply back.
Shibusen gets the reply on the 5th. Formal announcement to Shibusen.
Witches find out on around the 7th.
