Church mass. It is a religious ceremony for those of the Catholic faith. The day after All Hallows' Eve is All Saints' Day, so I have to attend and pray.

I suppose how interesting it is depends on how dedicated you are to the religion. I am not certain! Things regarding this day seem to have changed very much - at home the children dressed up and made noises, but it was more to keep the spirits away than for sweets.
Thank you! I could not do very much without you, though. I think I will remember the rules better if I continue typing like this. [so excite so excite LOOK AT ALL MY NON-VOICE REPLIES THIS IS SO COOL I'M LIKE LITERATE AND STUFF]
No, no, all the credit is to you. You are such an intelligent young woman! But I do agree that practice makes perfect -- you have the books which I have sent to you?
[text, lol she feels you gai. typing is hard.]maidoforleansMarch 25 2011, 10:05:58 UTC
I do not know if the people here do, but at home it was common. It is to replace pagan soul cakes - now cakes are given in return for a promise to pray for the giver. Of course, it may simply be that we did not have the sort of sweets available here.
[she's starting to think maybe she should have specified when she said that. also, is there supposed to be so many question marks? and what does colon o mean? did Watson not get up to that part yet???]
It is a religious service of the Catholic faith. The day after All Hallows' Eve is a holy day, and attending mass is required by practitioners.
