We had very little say in who BREW selected - it certainly was not intentional.

We ask only that you please, remain calm, and we will attempt to return you as soon as possible.

BREW is only capable of granting one... desire at a time, and until this war is finished, we have no way of returning you.

In order to bring the war to a quick end, it recruited people from other worlds.

However, this was not done intentionally.

... I have no way to return you. I apologize. I can only use BREW when the war is finished, and it has completed its current goal.

I can waste everyone's time explaining our current situation to every single person here, and you can be stuck in the damn basement all night- or you can let me get on with my job and in a couple hours discuss the situation over a hot meal and have all your questions answered.

It's in the United States. You are from an entirely other world, if I understand correctly.

Unfortunately, we did not choose for this to happen, or who would be brought here - I would return you if it was in my power to do so.

If you're in the midst of a war, then we are expected to be your soldiers, correct? How certain is it that we will be able to return home if we assist you?

You are not 'expected' to be our soldiers.

By offering your assistance during the war, you are benefiting yourself. It's not in our power to send you home until the war is over.

The sooner Death City is safe, the faster you'll be home.

All of this will be explained in greater detail as soon as everyone has been taken care of.

Regardless of how you word or think of it, we don't really have a choice, do we? Until this war of yours is resolved, we're all stuck here.

I suppose there's nothing to do but wait until then.
