If so, it indeed will happen in a whole new story, though. I'm hoping to get a sequel to this done for next year's big bang and I'd be delighted if you came back to read it.
What a lovely ending to such a great story. I can't believe that was your first. I would definitely be interested in reading more about what happens after this, particularly with John.
Right now I'm in a crazy flurry of art for several events here on lj, but when things quiet down I'll definitely get back on that. My fingers are itching to turn all the notes and outlines into timestamps or sequels, but it'll have to wait until the next couple of art deadlines are through. Then, though! *cracks knuckles* :)
What a spectacular story. I thoroughly enjoyed every word of it. My heart broke for all of them but Sam especially. What a horrible existence he had for the longest time. Zachariah was just as evil as he was in the show, you captured him very well. There's nothing quite like angels being just as bad as demons

Yes, poor Sammy - I felt quite bad writing some of his ordeal, but without it there wouldn't have been all that nice comfort to balance the hurt, right? I despise the character of Zachariah, the actor played him so delightfully creepy and rotten. Indeed, angels can be just as bad, and it's always giving me shivers when someone acts like that without even knowing or caring that it's wrong.
I like that you tried to come up with explanations regarding the backstory and John. How very cool! I'm not going to spoil anything, though, because I'm actually working on the sequel. But let me just point you towards the fact that this might be/have been/go towards an AU in several aspects. It might not all be canon compliant even if the overall arch tries to screw with our boys just like in show ;).

This was absolutely wonderful! I loved when the lightbulb came on in my head when I realized they were coming right up to the compartments where Sam was. This story was paced brilliantly! Loved it! I just wish there were more and we knew for certain whether Cas is on their side or not...

I love that you are wondering about Cas because that's what I liked about the early seasons so much - everyone had their own agenda and you could never be quite sure how things would play out. I was aiming for the same uncertainty here and I'm thrilled that it worked for you! I'm currently working on the sequel so there actually might be more in a little while.
