It's funny. Someone gave these *exact same cookies* to my mother this year in a gift basket. They were pretty good although the general consensus was actually that they looked better than they tasted. However they were actually made by someone who doesn't cook regularly so I wouldn't be surprised if a skilled cook could make a difference (such as by buying better chocolate, etc.).
Hope your holiday is going well. Say hi to Daliya (sp?) for me! Even though she hates me, that is.
