God I do not remember the last time Brook and Eugénie threaded. I MISS THAT. Cause Brook is kind of like a childhood delight come to life; he's. he's a large eccentric talking skeleton who plays music. That can't be anything short of fantastic. And in the back of her head is this sense that HE'S A TALKING SKELETON THAT'S WEIRD I MEAN THAT'S REALLY WEIRD but she feels perfectly comfortable around him and he's a complete gentleman to her so she's not really paying much attention to that voice, currently. She gets good vibes from him, and that's a very prestigious award, Mr. Brook

o franz. Eugénie wants to hug him forever and ever and never let go and it sucks because she can't not think that she's taking something away from him, that she's taking away the thing that they have most in common, that brought them together, which is Albert. Franz is the only person in Eugénie's world who can truly sympathize with her feelings when it comes to him, and so that connection she has with him is very strong, and tied very deeply in her heart. And she doesn't feel betrayed by either of them, surprisingly enough. She knows what it's like to have conflicting feelings for someone, and like -- she has so much respect for Franz for being able to deal with it better than she does. Because she gets frustrated when it comes to her feelings, and Franz manages to be cool about almost everything and be compassionate when she needs a shoulder to lean on, and that means so, so much to her. God knows she needed that kind of stability during her life growing up in France. And she thinks Franz deserves and has always deserved so much

Delita likes Zidane. Delita likes Zidane because he's not really close to him. This is basically an ideal friendship for Delita -- we have a great deal of things in common, we are able to sympathize with one another, we can talk about princesses and our countries and rag on Agrias and get drunk together, without getting too in depth. Delita doesn't want Zidane to know him too well; because when people get too close to him, usually bad things happen. This is not to say he's trying to 'protect' Zidane, but more like the people who know him deeply are only a handful and he wants it to stay that way. Delita enjoys his privacy, thank you very much. He would really rather not have Zidane learn things like his childhood or his sister or his relationship to Ramza or even Ovelia (generally, most people frown upon gut-punching helpless women in churches). So he'll skim over the negative bits about himself and keep it casual -- and in return, he'll never pry Zidane for things he's not comfortable with.

Roxas, Roxas... there is a very immature voice in the back of Raphael's head in response to Roxas that says HE'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR AXEL HE'S AN ASS AND HE'S JUST USING AXEL AND JUST BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF HIM ALREADY THE LITTLE BASTARD DESERVES IT but fortunately, Axel tends to beat this attitude out of him (mostly figuratively. mostly) from actually formulating into anything other than vague resentment. Because he connects so strongly to Axel that he can't miss the kind of unbreakable bond he and Roxas have together -- it pings him very hard. There's no denying that kind of bond is something that means a lot to him in terms of his relationship to Mika and has no doubt that that's very similar to how Axel and Roxas operate. (minus the epic fail) So he basically has one very big obstacle that keeps Raphael from actively trying to interfere with Axel and Roxas, and it's doing a good job as of late. He's keeping his relationship with Roxas at a distance, not just because Roxas dislikes him but also so that he won't be tempted to bubble
