It's Been Awhile.....
So I thought I'd chime in with what's going on with me. I'm on FB a lot more, but I should not neglect my LJ buddies. Workwise, still with ING as a CSA, three years now, still plugging along. No, it's my birthday, number 57, to be exact....and how perfect the first thing I did today was go to the doctor for a check-up ;-)....but the rest of the day is mine, and I intend to enjoy it. OPENING NIGHT!!
Tonight, The Hole in the Wall opens Tom Mula's JACOB MARLEY'S CHRISTMAS CAROL. I've had the pleasure of directing four terrific actors in this story that Dickens never wrote--about the redemption of Jacob Marley, and about the power of the second chance. New Project...
Tonight, I wear the director hat for the first time in eight years. I am directing Tom Mula's JACOB MARLEY'S CHRISTMAS CAROL at my theater, The Hole in the Wall. Mula takes the familiar Dickens tale and tells it from Marley's point of view. It's story theater, for one actor or four actors; I'm using the four-actor version. Opening Night.....
Hole in the Wall has just opened TWILIGHT ZONE-OF SHADOWS AND SUBSTANCE, a staging of four of the original teleplays from the historic television show. The episodes are: "One For The Angels," "The Obsolete Man," "Nothing In The Dark," and "It's A Good Life." I have the honor of playing The Narrator, tying all the pieces together. Rest in Peace....
George Carlin, one of my favorite comedians, died yesterday. I had the pleasure of seeing him live at UConn in 1971, in Hawley Armory (at the time, the girl's gym!!).
