Now, I should hope no one's panicking about the epidemic illness and that unpleasant people-turning-into-stone business. The sickness--as varied as it is--is undoubtedly yet another curse, and it will resolve itself in time. That's the way of the City, isn't it? There's utter chaos when the least of things happens, and no one manages to learn that curses only last so long or that malevolent citizens are eventually stopped.
