Fran was braving the streets once more, swinging her medical kit in one hand and on the ready to perform emergency surgery at any given time. She was very much hoping for some severed limbs, but had found none so far.
How disappointing.
She cast her eyes around her surroundings, and her vision settled upon a boy sitting on the ground against a building. Her heart immediately started to beat with excitement as she desperately hoped that he was gravely injured. "Hello~ You~! Yes, you! You need my help, don't you?!" she cried, running over to him.
Immediately Rolo's instincts kicked into gear. He climbed to his feet, reached for the firearm, the knife, the grenade (for all they were vulgar things, even that would have sufficed) he did not have, and growled low under his breath when the realization of his vulnerability struck.
No. There was something else.
In the split second after the noise of Fran's approach his his ears, he moved so as to activate his Geass - and then he heard her calling, frantically almost, as if she'd been anticipating. As she neared he was able to catch sight of the marks on her face, peculiarities he hadn't been expecting. He fell back, still wary of her, but nevertheless put on the unassuming guise he'd been using for the past year.
"No, not at all!" said Fran breathlessly, cheerfully. And then she jumped right in to the questions, leaving no room for Rolo to be underwhelmed in the slightest. "Alright, where're you bleeding~? You're all sprawled out like that, so I assume your leg is gone? Please say it's so. I promise I'll give you a new one better than ever~"
One arm went up to shield Kaname's face as a branch flew by, nearly grazing his cheek in the process. His crimson eyes burned brightly as he moved from behind a building into an open area. Sighing, he began to feel his irritation growing. This was ridiculous. The weather patterns didn't make any sense, and the fact that he couldn't read the adaption of the storm very well led him to believe that it was caused by magic.
His eyes darkened as his expression turned cold. The Overlords. He was beginning to find that if he was going to live peacefully in Somarium, he would have to come in contact with them. It was bad enough he had no control over his surroundings, but it was about time he familiarized himself with their powers a little more.
Suddenly, his body gave off a blue glow and the air around him formed a bubble of which his aura pushed the winds and anything that would have connected with him away. Up ahead, he saw a boy that he didn't recognize.
Another new person? That made three he had seen in a day's time

Although such behavior certainly would not curry any favor with the whoever - or whatever - was approaching, Rolo was sorely tempted to brush off the voice as a hallucination and return to his silence. This desire was short lived, however, because before he'd realized it, his body had begun to tremble and shake with the cold.
The question posed before him held no hostility, but as always the once child assassin kept remained alert of his surroundings. He knew better than any how quickly a supposed ally could stab you in the back - literally, had in fact been that ally several times. Without his knife he felt bare and exposed, empty even. But if need be he could simply turn any of the surrounding pieces of debris into a weapon.
Rolo brushed himself off as he stood, trying to hide the fact that he was sahking. "Are you from here?" he asked, voice flat and devoid of any emotion. He met the man's gaze levelly; not challenging, but inquisitive and watchful.

There was something about his aura that resembled someone else in Somarium. Kaname couldn't quite remember who had caused this sensation he felt weighing in his stomach, but the boy's eyes were very haunting. As soon as Rolo met Kaname's gaze, his interest level rose considerably, though he didn't show it

For a moment all he could do was blink at the hand, something so innocent and yet...There was something about this man that wasn't quite wrong. Not exactly malevolent, but certainly formidable. This only increased his hyper-awarenes, making him anxious to get out of the storm. It was then when thoughts of the torrential downpour around them popped into his mind that he registered the abrupt lack of moisture and glanced up.
W-What is...? Could it be some kind of Geass? His eyes rapidly scanned the sphere, mind going blank.
Looking back to the man, Rolo frowned. "What is this?" he questioned, a slightly more suspicious edge to his voice this time around. He was quite happy to leave that hand right where it was thank you very much.

And stare.
And stare a little more but with a bit less intensity than during the first few seconds.
