[The park was probably one of the few places that didn't suffer terribly from the damage some of the city took from that battle. She liked being outside rather than being stuck inside letting some of her wound sheal. Well, most of them were minor.
That's why she was hanging upside down from a branch and shrouded in her moogle poncho.]
[ Of course, it takes him a moment or two (or seven. don't judge him, he's getting used to the dead being well, not dead), because there is something (someone) hanging from a branch.
in a weird poncho. -- well, he can't really talk can he.
and so, blinking. does he look under the poncho, or not ... ] Hello.
[It's a moogle to be a exact! Well, could argue that it has the look of something similar to a patchy burlap sack.
It's yellow button looking eyes directed themselves at him before it's stitched up upper lip parted open with a pair of gray eyes looking at him before it answered. Oh, god maybe it ate someone.]
Ritsuka was holding his camera, trying to get a bird that was perched on a branch before it flew off. His tail swished in victory as the bird looked right at him and he snapped the photo. He smiled at the bird and it flew off. With several of the trees still dead or destroyed from the attack it was a surprise that he had even found a bird at all. His ears perked however when he heard something behind him.
Ritsuka turned his head and looked at the older boy a few yards away.
He was watching the younger male's tail swish when it had, having caught his eye surprisingly quick. (And, really, he's not all that surprised. If Lelouch is alive, then cat boys couldn't be impossible.) Still, he couldn't help but stare blankly for a moment. Did that boy have ears and a tail -- no, he couldn't let himself be surprised. Wouldn't be surprised.
Even so. There was something going on in the back of his head that just refused to digest what was in front of him.
And so when there were eyes on him, Suzaku's mouth opened and a small, "ah," came out, before he decided that talking would not at all be possible at the moment. (A cat plus a boy equals ... error. Not computing. At all.)
When the other boy made no motion Ritsuka merely shrugged and went about the task of going through his memory card. His tail swished in content as he saw some of the photos and his ears perked in content. He looked around for a bench and sat down. He gave a small shiver as a blast of wind went through his jacket.
Slowly, when everything started to clear in his mind and he came to terms with the reality of a boy plus a cat, he reached a hand up to rub at the corner of his eye. Really- this place was starting to screw with his head.
And then the shiver caught his attention and he blinked, only to ask, "Cold?" And shift to see if it was true.
Suzaku had been on his mind since his arrival. It had been roughly a month and he was still not particularly sure what to do or how to approach this delicate matter. After a short talk about said matter with C.C., Lelouch took the next few days to clear his head, sort his thoughts, and take care of some business in Somni. He had various people that needed attending to, and making those connections was an extremely high priority

He came apart at 'Su', rebuilt himself at 'za', and registered Lelouch's presence at 'ku'. The mere sight itself took his very breath away (stole it right from his lungs and used it to call a name more dead than its worn owner himself). And if he were being completely honest, 'Zero' was (still feeling the sting of the earlier times' pain) not ready for it yet; to face a man he ran a sword through as easy as a knife through butter six and a half months earlier.
But, there was Lelouch (unsure, however, which 'Lelouch' he was addressing), all delicate bones, long limbs, and- and --
"Lelouch," as if he'd parrot it back and pick at all of the 'wrong' it was to call 'Zero' by that name, but could wait until a better time. Probably, at least; he wasn't sure if he would ever encounter the other again, because he really, truly, completely and utterly was not ready for this. But, it still hung in the back of his mind that this would (probably) make him a little more alert than he was before.
I am Zero, the back of his mind whispered,

Violet eyes darted frantically as thoughts spiraled out of control.
What do I say? What do I possibly say? The conversation we had upon his arrival was disgraceful... And then I think of what C.C. said to me, how he doesn't want to see me. Of course, I know he doesn't want to see me, but he can't avoid me forever. There's no getting out of Somarium. We're stuck here. This won't get any easier.
A heavy heart raced with each firm footstep toward Suzaku, toward the deer in the headlights, each young man about to face something he was not ready to face. Once his eyes finally made contact with the green ones before him, they were locked and a mask was in place. Lelouch held tightly to the mask as he came to rest a few feet in front of his knight. He searched for a smile, digging as deep as he possibly could and pulling out the smallest one he could manage at present.
Small talk, perhaps.
"Are you having any difficulty finding your way around Somarium?" he questioned.

He watches Lelouch, head eventually tilting to the side when they make eye contact and psyche smoothing itself out in seconds. His gut stops tearing itself up enough for Suzaku to answer the question he's asked.
"No. People are nice enough to point me where I need to go. It's hard to lose my way," he answers in response to the smile he's being shown. If Lelouch can pull something like that from somewhere deep inside of him, then Suzaku could at least indulge him and answer his question truthfully. Honesty is always the best policy.
He wants to turn away and run as far as he can -- as quickly as he can -- and never think of a situation like this again. At least, not in this way; not when Suzaku doesn't have Zero's mask to hide 'Suzaku' behind. Everything about him just doesn't feel right the way it is suddenly, in these clothes instead of the ones he's supposed to be in. It makes him feel out of place, and not -- well. Right. He's an idiot, yes, but he's no fool; he knows where he belongs, and where is place is (at Nunnally

She was used to the snow. In more ways than one. Even now sometimes her mind would wander to what she had to do in the past to survive in this weather, what had happened when she hadn't. It wasn't easy coming back to life when your bones were splintered and frozen inside. She had known harsher winters.
Carrying a basket of groceries under her arm, adequately dressed for the cold, the witch took her usual stroll around the park. After all it might not always be here. C.C.'s lime-colored hair dangled against her hips in a loose plait, her amber eyes glancing warily to her left. And promptly stopped, eyebrow raised.
"Exploring, are you?" She called out, no sense of shock or surprise on her pretty face. "Japan never had winters like this." She added, blinking at Suzaku with a curious sort of smile.

He blinks and snaps his head to the side quickly when he hears someone talking (perhaps to him, but he wouldn't know, really), blinking once more when he sees C.C. there, all green hair, amber eyes, and something close to what he remembers from a very distant memory. His lips curl up into a brief smile, a greeting mayhaps (or just to smile back) because it is someone who knows him ('Zero' or 'Suzaku' otherwise), before he speaks.
"Yeah. This place was actually pretty interesting once I thought about it, you know? And it's better to get to know my surroundings early on- that's what I've been doing, at least."
He says it, while he approaches her in quick steps, smiling falling so that he can give something of a questioning look, "Ah -- were you out shopping?"

"It's unlike the World of C, but like it at the same time. You're adjusting well." She walked to him in turn, C.C. lightly curling her mouth upwards in faint amusement. "Or at least pretending to at least. " Raising her basket, she held up flour, tomatoes, and cheese.
"I'm going to have homemade pizza tonight. I plan on having Lelouch making it for me. " She said calmly, head slightly tilted. "He doesn't really have a choice. "

"I have to try -- especially if I'm going to be here for a while," he admits quietly, shaking his head and watching her raise the basket.
His first thought is poor Lelouch, but then he remembers that it- shouldn't be like that, 'poor Lelouch' or no, and he says, "Is that so? Make sure he works extra hard on it, then, seeing as it's homemade. Wouldn't want him slacking off, after all."
