Lelouch sat on a bench near the center of town reading some piece of literature he had picked up at the library. He was rather interested in the military history that Somarium had, however, finding sufficient information on it was rather difficult. He sighed to himself, wondering how things were going in Britannia at the moment and wondering how his beloved sister was...
Ah, but he could not let those things bring him down. He had to make the best of his current situation - he had people to become acquainted with and maybe some of these would prove to be excellent additions further down the road. He smiled and continued reading his book.
Asch had been wandering pretty aimlessly, and was rather surprised to find himself near the middle of Espoir. He paused a moment, considering... before taking the path that would take him through the center of town to get to Raven's tavern. Hey, he was eighteen now! He could get a drink from the old man without the slightest bit of protest or so he hoped.
He froze as soon as he approached the town square, however. At first he thought it was someone else; just like Fuu had looked so much like Natalia, this person had to be some other lookalike. No matter how many times he blinked or rubbed his eyes, however, this Lelouch did not look any different from the Lelouch he knew... and he found himself swallowing rather loudly, embarrassed and angry and relieved all at once. Embarrassed, because Lelouch was probably annoyed at all the messages he had left him; angry because he hadn't had the decency to reply to any of those damn messages. And the relief? Well... after the monsters and everything else, it was a relief to see Lelouch
( ... )
Lelouch turned around when he heard his name, rather surprised that anybody would be out walking around since he hadn't seen anybody all morning. Ah... To his surprise it was Asch the Bloody - somebody he hadn't seen in quite some time, nor had he heard from him either. But, this did not seem to bother Lelouch very much.
"Asch, my, it's been some time since I last saw you. Please, do sit down! We must spend some time catching up" Lelouch said with quite a smile on his face.
Asch allowed himself his own private smile at that, though still a little annoyed that he didn't seem to acknowledge the fact that he had tried to get in touch with him. Still, seeing Lelouch smile? Yeah, that was more than enough to get him to move over and sit beside him.
Still, he had to say it. "I'm surprised you didn't get any of my messages."
It was Christmas day, and Christmas day meant happy times!
And so, with the happy day here, Harley had gotten into her Santa gear, piled all her pies into boxes and then set off to wander the streets on Rudolph, her reindeer, carrying a large bag with said pies inside it and ringing a huge bell.
Asch blinked as he came up behind the crazy clown woman (well, he couldn't see her face, but her voice? Yeah, not hard to recognize), shaking his head. Great, just who he wanted to see today.
Asch raised an eyebrow at that, surprised. "Yeah, Merry Christmas," he replied distractedly, before pointing at her face. "I thought the makeup never came off?"
I tried to do this earlier, but my connection died. :|emeraldtyphoonDecember 26 2008, 09:21:10 UTC
"Oh, Asch-san!" Fuu called, hurrying over to him and finding that she had to look up quite a bit to talk to him. "You're taller today. Is this how you normally look?"

"Nazonazo~" she's humming to herself, again, and it seems like this is the only song she sings whenever Asch is nearby because HEY! There he is! She runs towards him, waving. "Assssssch!" she calls, smiling broadly.
Running, she leaps at him, hugging him around the shoulders and partially spining. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NUTCAKE!"
Asch let out a sputtering sound of surprise as he found himself pounced on and spun around from behind. He had been in the process of turning around at the familiar voice, and it was probably fortunate that he did recognize her voice, otherwise he might have attacked her by accident.
"G-gh...! H-Haruhi, is that you?" he asked, fumbling for balance.
"Of course it is!" she says, still smiling. "Who else would it be? Or were you thinking it was that girl you liked~?" Winking, she lets go of his shoulders and hops down.
There was an odd sort of pause as Asch just stared at her like she grew another head... before he did something very not Asch-like: he gave her a big hug.
"Where the heck have you been these past few weeks?!" he exclaimed. "Do you have any idea how worried I was?"

The crisp, cold winter air was nice.

"Merry Christmas everybody!"

"Hello, Harley," he said dully.

Harley then hopped off and bounced over to where Asch was, practically waving the bell in his face, "happy Christmas, Ashy!"

"Yes, this is the normal me," he replied. "How are you, Fuu? Did you enjoy the party last night?"

"'Interesting' is an understatement," he replied, amused... before he shifted uncomfortably. "Um... well, as long as everything's going okay..."
