Makoto was worried. She had searched the entire manor and the grounds, yet Serenity was no where to be found. Especially this late in the evening. She was more than sure she knew of Wicket Lady's arrival and more than likely spoken with her. She knew in this form she completely despised her mother and wants nothing to do with her.
She could only imagine what kind of paint her Queen was feeling right now. Being rejected by your own flesh and blood even though she loves her unconditionally.
Though, that familiar pulsing and aura is what drew her out here and coming across Serenity. The ginzuishou was shining softly, as if using the blanket of light to wrap around her. She stood there for a moment watching her biting on her lip slowly.
She heard the voice and took a deep breath, holding back a sob as she looked up at her young senshi. She knew, back when Usagi had first encountered Wicked Lady, that she was contending with her jealousy between Small Lady and Mamoru and that the other senshi had been kidnapped. Even though it was revealed to Usagi that Small Lady was her daughter from the future, Usagi hadn't given birth, hadn't raised Small Lady, and gone through all nearly a thousand years of raising a precious little girl. Usagi still felt pain, but not the pain of a mother

There had always been something unnerving about the moon. Maybe it was the way it seemed to hang still in the sky or the glow it emitted across every inch of the evening landscape, but Jin couldn't stand it. Even as he walked, he found himself gazing back up at it as if to make sure it hadn't moved, hadn't gotten closer. Even here in an entirely different world, it still felt as if the moon was threatening to fall at any moment.
Tearing his gaze away from the moon, he saw what appeared to be the silhouette of a woman hunched over in the grass. It was odd seeing someone out at this hour; Just what were they doing? As Jin wandered closer, he could see the faint light of something held close to the woman, some sort of crystal. Everything about this seemed odd, but he couldn't turn around and leave now that he'd gotten within earshot of the woman.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before wiping her eyes with one hand. She sat up, her hair pooled around her. The queen looked at Jin with sadness and a weariness that dug deep into the marrow of her bones.
Blue eyes merely locked onto Jin, she said nothing herself, though.
The look he was met with when the woman looked up at him sent shivers down his spine. It was a sadness he'd very rarely seen, but yet, it was painfully familiar. Not only that, but it was strange seeing such a look from this woman. The one time he'd spoken to her, she had appeared so calm and composed, unaffected by anything he would say. As much as Jin tried to elicit a negative response from her, none of his words would change her reaction. This scene was surreal if nothing else.
His expression calming a bit, he keeps his gaze on the woman. His usual harsh tone softens a bit as well, although very slightly. "Did you hear me? It's dangerous to be out alone at his hour."
"Thank you, Jin, for caring about me," she wiped at her eyes, the crystal still glowing softly. However, Serenity didn't care about any danger from anything this world could throw at her. Nothing could compare to her daughter's hatred. It was like her daughter had crushed Serenity's heart in one single glare. What hurt most was Serenity couldn't convince Small Lady how much she loved her. She would give her life for her daughter, no matter what form she took but the dark energy in her daughter... everything was so wrong about it. Everything screamed a poisoned little girl being manipulated and controlled by an aspect of Chaos.
No, there was nothing that this world could do that could compare to the ache in her chest.
Riku was not the type of person to allow someone crying deal with their tears all on their own.
But he wasn't the sort of person to butt into another's personal life. The dilemmas the teen faced on a day-to-day were exponential compared to someone who would normally deal with something as easy as just walking over to tell someone they were worried for what they were going through. Even though they didn't even know have the time as he walked through the field after a day of training all on his own. Organization in his life was an illusion. Those who had said it was possible to just act as if this was all something normal and go about their daily lives were lying in the keyblade wielder's eyes. He knew that there was something more that he could be doing. He just didn't exactly know what

The problem with escaping the manor for air and to be with the moon, meant that she was susceptible to anyone finding her. She knew she could prevent that, with her abilities she could go anywhere she wished except the moon in this place. Nothing could hurt as much as what just happened with her daughter. No monster attack, no insult, nothing could compare to the pain her heart felt. She could be rend limb from limb and it wouldn't compare to the knife in her heart. Wicked Lady wanted to see her suffer, she had succeeded.
When she heard Riku she closed her eyes, and tried to compose herself. She shouldn't have done this in retrospect. A shuddering breath enters her aching lungs and she lifts her head.
"R-Riku," her smile is weak, a sad fake to her real one.
He didn't realize that his daughter had arrived, nor did he realize that she was 'evil' in a sense. Though he knew how that could be when it came down to everything as he looked on at his friend. He never really did like seeing anyone in this state, that much was true. Riku didn't know whether to scoot forward. To hug her. Or just kneel there and continue that way as he just moved a little closer to the woman.
"I know fake smiles." He was an expert at them. Even though lately it'd been very difficult to do so. "What's wrong?"
She couldn't let herself smile anymore. At his comment it fell and she looked away, taking deep breaths. So much was wrong. She was living with a young man who would become her husband, but they couldn't do anything because he was from the past and she was from the future. In her actual timeline, when she awoke from this dream, everyone she loved and cared for would be dead once again, awaiting for the end of the battle so she could revive them and the planet. Her daughter, her beautiful, bright, intelligent, and amazing daughter was under the control of a serial killer and felt alone and abandoned by her own family.
So much was wrong, and it was hers to bear and bear alone.
"Someone I love very much... my daughter..." she closed her eyes and bowed her head... "My daughter is in a place I cannot reach her." Because even if she satisfied her daughters desire by dying, it was not her death that awakened Small Lady from the spell. Pluto's death was what caused that.
She had noticed how different Serenity was holding herself these days. Something was the matter and Namine wasn't sure what, but she was worried. In the time she had been living with the woman, the girl hadn't seen her like this.
Concerned, she decided to follow her when she caught sight of her in the mansion. Prying into other problems was not her style, but Serenity had done so much for her here in this world. If she could do something to help her, she would.
Namine stopped a few feet away, after of impeding on her comfort zone. "Serenity?"
Serenity had tried hard to hide the pain she was in, to smile as if everything was fine for those who lived in the manor. It never reached her eyes but she smiled anyways. She forced her crystal to not cause any sort of damage, even as her heart felt broken in two. It was why she left the manor this evening, so that those she housed did not find her brought so low.
When she heard Namine's voice she wiped at her eyes. The sweet little girl she housed had so much more to her than given credit. There was so much in that little girl. Serenity offered a smile but she couldn't make it reach her eyes.
"Namine, sweetie, it's late, w-why aren't you in bed?"
Feeling bold enough, Namine took some steps forward to close the gap between them. She's never had to comfort or console someone before like this or on this kind of scale, even though Serenity was trying to hide it. But that didn't mean Namine wouldn't try at the very least.
"I... I saw you leaving earlier," she pauses and looks down for a moment. "...I was worried."
She looked up and pressed a hand to her face, hiding it. She couldn't stand how she knew she appeared. Part of it was pride but most of it was that she didn't want to worry anyone over her sobbing.
