You guys don't have complete control, but it's not hard to learn.

All you have to is just think of what you want to dream about it, and you'll have a higher chance that your dream will be influenced by it.

Are we to understand, then, that different dreams do have different effects on the place? Are nightmares and unpleasant dreams detrimental to this... dream energy?

Yes and no. It can effect it, but not in the way you're probably thinking.

Each dream gives off a different type of energy, and we can either combine them all or just use specific types for certain uses. Normal dreams are fine-it's like any other energy resource. But nightmare energy is the dangerous one that you do not want to mess with.
