One could only hope this heat could let up some. Such the trade mark of summer, but the lightning senshi didn't mind the heat in the least. That's what shorts were for.

She happened to be strolling on her way back to the manor when she came across the man. He just seemed to be standing there not really doing anything. Perhaps in deep thought? Well, she hoped she wasn't bothering him when she curiously walked up to him.

"Um, excuse me, but are you alright?"

In deep thought indeed. With his honed senses, however, the Hatter became aware of the young lady's presence almost immediately. Pushing his current concerns to the back of his mind, Blood adopted a charming smile as the woman approached him. He had never seen this girl -- and she had a face, so there was certainly no reason why he should forget a fellow role-holder if he had ever met one.

At her inquiry, he nearly chuckled, wondering the same thing himself at the moment. Of course, he was fine, merely puzzled as to his current whereabouts. He looked about as he spoke, tone entirely smooth.

"Thank you for your concern, young lady. I must say that I appear to be quite lost. Would you happen to know the way back to Heartland?"

He certainly had a pristine appearance about him and something that screamed proper. Though having such a cool and collected appearance to him, plus a smooth voice just about sent her into a mild daze. Was her face a little flushed?

Well, nothing that certainly couldn't be blamed on the heat outside.

Ooops! Teetered off there for a moment!

"Oh! You just looked like you were thinking about something." Rubs the back of her head shyly, before looking at him curiously. The name didn't sound familiar at all. Another newcomer from another world she took it.

"I'm sorry I don't, but welcome to Somarium all the same. We seem to be getting a lot more people popping in lately..."

"Mr. Hatter?" a soft voice called behind the much taller man. Alice had been walking home with Basil in her arms and when she saw the man start to stand, she hadn't given it much thought other than it being a late arrival. Then she saw the missing hat and an all too familiar face.

It was quite a familiar hat so it's missing from atop his head was quite remarkable. She should know, after all, every hatter in Somarium had a different sort of hat that, nonetheless, was a very notable hat. Alice recognized the hat of the older Miss Alice, and that her Mr. Hatter well... didn't have one. She walked up to the older man and clasped her hands in front of her. She wondered if he would think of her as Alice, Cheshire, after all, had.

Blood looked up immediately as a light voice called to him. When he saw the young lady before him, a brief look of shock came over his face before he quickly masked it with a charming grin. This young lady -- she looked like Alice, only... younger. Could it have been that something happened to her as they fell down the hole, and that this girl was actually his Alice?

Folding his arms, the Hatter looked at the young girl in front of him with a mix between curiosity and his usual mask of (generally) false charm. This was quite an intriguing situation indeed.

"I'm afraid I'm at a disadvantage. You appear to know who I am, yet I don't know your name. Would you be so kind as to share it with me, young lady?" he spoke with all the charm of a practiced veteran.

"Oh, I suppose you don't remember me... Ah my name is Alice, Alice Liddell," she said as she curtsied with a smile. "How do you do Mr. Hatter?" she asked as she then clasped her hands in front of her again. The smallest of blush appeared on her cheeks.

Alice? Alice? This girl was Alice? Perhaps the rabbit hole didn't lead back to Heartland at all, but some strange land of the past. The mannerisms of the young Alice were quite endearing, however. Calling him Mr. Hatter -- it was entirely unlike her. He flashes a charming smile at the girl.

"Young lady, how you've managed to go back in time so far I will never know. Of course I haven't forgotten you, it's merely that you look entirely different than during your stay in Heartland."

When Alice saw Blood her heart almost stopped, but it wasn't from joy or anything like that. The last time she saw Blood, he choked her and tried to kill her so she wasn't going to greet him now. He'll have to figure out everything himself.

She turns the other way, hoping that he wouldn't catch sight of her.

She simply wasn't ready to see him again. She was mad at him, mad, and it doesn't matter what kind of attraction she has for him...even now.

Unluckily for Alice, Blood isn't going to miss seeing her if she's anywhere near him. So as soon as she turns on her heel to walk away, the Hatter looks up. The brief rush of relief at her apparent safety is quickly covered by his desire to know why in the world she appeared to be going out of her way to avoid him.

He smirks, wondering if this was just another one of her strange games that, in his mind, she constantly seemed to be playing with him. Blood doesn't make any attempt to move from his current location, but he calls out to Alice with whatever hint of playfulness is even possible, considering who he is and all.

"Young lady, might I ask why you're so intent on running away from me after I went to the trouble of bringing you back to Heartland?"

'Bringing me back to Heartland?'

What was he talking about? Alice had no intention of seeing him right now and she planned on not seeing him for a long time. She sighs, turning, it was too late now. "I don't know what you are talking about."

She tried to keep her voice steady, she wasn't going to let him off that easily.

His face drops just the slightest bit before he instead grows irritated with her games. He certainly wasn't in the mood for such things, especially considering the way she was currently treating him -- when only a bit ago she had joked with him, teased him, even kissed him.

"I find it positively amusing that you've somehow managed to forget the events which took place merely hours ago, young lady. Have you also decided to neglect everything after our truce?"

He isn't quite mocking her, but it's pretty close given his now foul mood.

Well, well, well. This is an interesting surprise.

Or so thought Ace as he spotted the Hatter a fair distance away from him. Well it was only proper to greet another person from his own world, wasn't it? It was probably a good thing for Blood that Alice had made him promise not to kill anyone.

But then again, she never told him he couldn't hurt anyone.

With that usual, cheerful smile-perhaps a little too cheerful-Ace made his way over to Blood.

"Fancy seeing you again, Hatter," he called out cheerfully.

Of all the things to break his thoughts, it had to be that troublesome Knight of Hearts. The first thought to run through the now thoroughly irritated Hatter's mind was how he planned on killing the directionally challenged man.

Tightening the grip on his cane -- determined to be on guard this time so as to avoid a situation such as their last encounter -- Blood looked up with a scowl. Trust Ace to act so carefree after attempting to kill you when last you met.

"Here to attempt to murder me once more, Knight of Hearts? I'm afraid you won't have the element of surprise to your advantage this time," he all but smirked.

"Hm? I'm not sure what you're talking about, Hatter," Ace said honestly. "Unless it happened back in Heartland, I haven't seen you in over a year."

He shrugged, even though his shoulder was still a bit sore from the other day. "Besides, I promised Alice to not kill." For now, anyway.

"Haven't seen me in over a year? Now you're the court jester as well, Knight of Hearts? How utterly amusing."

Blood points his cane at the Knight as a warning, foul mood darkening even further at what he believes to be Ace mocking him. Well then, he would merely have to mock him in return. "It must be my lucky day then. Perhaps we should sit down for a bit of tea, catch up on things from the past year, hmm?"

[Ah. What a familiar face. He can swear this has happened before.

Because it has, of course.

For this particular hatter, wandering Somarium with a coat and top hat of his own is not unusual--he has to occupy himself somehow.

He steps closer, leans on his cane, smiles.

He can't be sure, of course, but he can make assumptions, guesses off of mannerisms and sounds, and try--]

Now isn't this a familiar tale?

[As this man with a cane and top hat of his own approaches him, Blood looks up, a hint of curiosity in his expression. He had never encountered this particular man, of that he could be entirely certain.

Even so, he's undoubtedly intrigued by the man.

When he's addressed as if they had met before, the Hatter merely quirks a brow before letting a smirk overtake his face.

What an interesting situation he's landed himself in, indeed. Certainly not at all boring.]

Is it truly? I can't say as though it's one familiar to myself. Would you care to share it with me?

To share a synopsis of a story the other hasn't read is spoiling it, wouldn't you say?

I would so hate to do so.

[And he bows, sweeping the hat from the top of his head and bringing it with him, the entire movement rather over the top and elegant.]

A pleasure; I am known as Xerxes Break. Shall I welcome you to our fair dream world?

[Blood takes the time to study this man quite intently indeed. He certainly was very knowledgeable concerning the workings of this world, by the sounds of it. And he even saw a bit of himself in the strange man. Such a person could be a wonderful asset to the Hatter -- or potentially a terrible enemy, if things didn't go as desired.

He was quite determined to ensure that such wouldn't be the case.]

I can assure you, the pleasure is certainly all mine, Mr. Break. You may call me Blood Dupre. [He gives a slight bow of his own, charming smile present as always on his face.] Dream world you say? Please, do enlighten me.
