Not that I'm a politician, but I'd call it 'controlled chaos.'

Sometimes.

...I...I see.

Any prominent figures I should know about?

Just personalities. That doesn't count, so I shouldn't say.

Seems like people listen to charisma.. when they want to.

I suppose it best I simply stay quiet for the meanwhile and absorb all I can through this device.

The political situation is that politics is basically non-existent here.

How frightening... Without a strong Government I can only assume people have formed factions?

I wouldn't even call it that. There are people that closer to each other than others, but... Basically, it seems to come down to those who want to do whatever the hell they want, and those who actually want to try and do something about the mess this place is in.

No Government. No Factions. Are there any leaders, even?

A dire dire situation indeed. How is it that this place has not succumbed to total barbarity?

With all the talk of "coming together", all you usually see are uneasy alliances or those of similar origins forming tight knit groups.

I see. All this news truly worries me. What sort of a world have I found myself in?

Simply put- each man to his own, unless something better can be gained?

For the most part, yes. I have seen people in apartments band together to sustain their groups.

However, please don't sound so dismayed, young man. Not everyone possesses such a nature.

Ah, I did not mean to make it so evident in my tone, do forgive me.

Contrariwise, I actually think learning of such things will give me a greater drive to set things to rights despite the long...long road ahead of me.

Kinda hard to be optimistic in a place like this. I try to get along with everyone, but obviously people are too stuck in their own ways or..something. I dunno.

Politics give me a massive headache.

Ah, 'tis quite alright. Not everyone likes to immerse themselves in the melee that is Politics. The complexity frightens off most people.

Being born into the role and schooled in its workings helped me develop the mind for it.

Well, you certainly sound noble. The name's Ness. Born Baseball player, psychic hero of my planet, and..well.. s'about it, really. You're from Ivalice? So you know Captain Balthier.

I gotta say, I like how your world sounds. Definitely really interesting!

Noble-? My accent, perhaps? Archadians have a scholarly accent, you see. Our World is...more whole than this one. On the brink of war we are, and that is why I loathe to be here. The war can be prevented if I make the right decisions.

And yes, I do know Balthier. I spent the early years of my childhood with him before he left Archades. We met again on more recent adventures and it seems now we are together once more.

All which has been tried has subsequently failed. There are many who desire peace, and to focus upon our primary goal - to return home. Unfortunately, the matter of appearances and disappearances make this world unstable, inconsistent - preventing any real order. Whilst it pains me to admit such, we are... prisoners, and must survive, co-operate, as best we can.

Princess Ashelia.

It seems the level of civility here is at a bare minimum, if it exists at all. Disheartening, truly, for the both of us used to Justice and Order.

Even Time obeys no laws here, or so I have heard. We are pawns in a game and the outcome seems grave.

You have arrived at a time more difficult than most, I am sorry to say.

I have been here for eight calendar months, though the passage of time in Dalmasca will not have been the same, or so I'm told. Even now, I refuse to give up hope of returning to my people... that the scientists who stole us here will relinquish their hold over my life.

Painful as the situation may be, before turning to politics, concern yourself with your own well-being. I advise you to stay with Gabranth, for he will watch over you.

The both of us cannot remain here, not when Ivalice is on the brink of war once more. We can prevent it but we need to-

Time obeys no laws. Are we of the same timeline, or are you aware of a future I have yet to experience?

I will stay with Gabranth. It is foolish to immerse myself in politics if I do not yet have a firm grasp over the situation and the land we are situated in.

Occuria keep you, and your Guardian too.
