Freak-out commences, ahead of schedule...

Ohhhh myyyy gaaawd, three more days to Y-Con and still not finiiiiished... (<-- and no one was the least bit surprised ,':T)

Ukoku is done, except for a pair of  tiny snaps to keep his sutra in place, and the wig.

I finished the robe and sandals for emo-Sanzo, and have sewed the kesa (the green wrap-around thing like in this pic), but I still need to ( Read more... )

That looks really elaborate...
but I love the way the guy's smiling, lol!

when is he not emo Wait, you mean when he's wearing black and stuff? I think I've seen a pic of him like that before. Maybe (I see so much stuff on the internet, it's hard to keep track sometimes).

Are you still in college, or are you holding down a job now? Either way, I couldn't imagine trying to do either one and attempt to make my own costume for a 'con. I barely manage my course load as it is! 'course, maybe if I weren't on the internet so much, I could get crap done (which wouldn't be fun at all). But...if you're looking for something to procrastinate with, I finally finished that thing I was working on. Though I do hate to be an enabler ( ... )

Ah, well, in non-sleep-deprived retrospect, I could have picked a more accurate representation of the actual kesa Sanzo wears, heh... so it's not quite that elaborate.

By 'emo Sanzo,' I meant Burial arc Sanzo, lol, or "the wandering years."

I graduated a couple years ago, so now I'm just working part time. Which at least gives me some time for sewing and weaving and adjusting shit. :T (Oh, and Y-Con goes from this Friday through Sunday, so after that I'll be free to give you a hand with the beta. :D You can sent the file along to soliandxpyne@gmail.com. If I can't open the file, I'll let you know so we can try a different format or something...)

0_0 you mean, it could've been worse?

Ah, okay! I'll probably send it sometime today (otherwise I just might forget). You can just check your inbox later when you get time. I saved it in .doc format (which is for Word 2000 and up I think, or something), so it should work. Once again, thanks so much!

I feel your pain! Five more days 'til Dracula's Ball and even though I have all three gowns cut out, I've only gotten the first one sewn! Bodices are a BITCH.

My one friend is killing me with her outfit. She wanted this change and that change and this a little different, making it a lot of brain-breaking. In revenge, I'm working on hers last! =P

I still have to buy a top hat and granny boots. AAAGGGHHH!

Hey it looks great from what i saw.

And did you ever hear the saying, that great thinkers think better under Pressure? They get more creative than most.

You'll finish in time and have tons of fun while your at it.

Don't worry so much. Enjoy yourselves at Y-con and take tons of pictures to share with the flist.^____^

Thanks! It's really down to the wire about now, but we do it to ourselves, with our efforts to continually outdo ourselves, lol.
