Soli: Arg, it's too freaking hot in here, I'm going out to the living room! ::unplugs her laptop and flounces off::
Xpyne: Fine! I just won't try to talk to you anymore! T ^T
Soli: Well it's kind of hard to write when you're being

Oo 'course, it doesn't help that when I sat down to work on him last night, I spent an hour coloring my latest ridiculous Mystery Yaoi Theater 2000 pic instead... I'll probably have that one up around monday, and crazy hakkai wednesday or thursday? :3

Unless this was because you found Lupin's death to be unacceptable (but slightly less unacceptable than his marriage to Tonks) I do not understand. Splain!!

ahh, i suppose i could enumerate on numerous reasons why this was so, but let me suffice to say I was simply disappointed by the way Harry's peer friends were Not Good Friends, Harry's adult friends were Not Good Role-Models, and Harry's other adults were Not Good Mentors. seems like every personal relationship let him down in the end, and frankly i found it depressing and even a bit unbelievable.
buwahahah, and i like to believe the only possible explanation for the out-of-left-field that was Lupin x Tonks is that she was Sirius under polyjuice. X)

As to the other stuff, I thought that was believable, and I think it was JKRs way of making HP stand on his own (though everyone sort of came through for him in the end) and coming to the realization that adults aren't flawless or omnicient either. But, obviously, everyone is going to read their own experience into the books and not everyone is going to like them.

it wasn't believable to me. none of my close friends would ever treat me half as awful as the way Ron treated Harry, and lovable Lupin, whom I'd adored in previous books, was an irresponsible, petulant ass in volume 7. was hermione even in book seven? I don't recall her doing much remarkable. I don't know. the series just lost some of its charm for me as it carried on. like, was it really necessary for EVERY SINGLE Slytherin at Hogwarts to be an irredeemable jerk or just plain pathetic (sorry Draco). and why didn't Hogwarts kids learn basic math or literature? dunt need no ( ... )

I haven't seen any of the movies past "Goblet of Fire". When I read about the "incident" regarding Sirius and the Veil (and bawled my friggin' eyes out), I refused to see the movie. I mean, just imagine: if just reading it produced that kind of reaction, could you imagine me watching it? On the big screen?! And seeing as how things only seemed to go downhill after book 5, I simply refused to see the rest of the movies period. Maybe my curiosity will get the best of me one day, I'll just go rent them and watch somewhere.
Why do I get the feeling I've gotten off topic?
HTML, I has it! Go me!

I like the movies! can't say my fangirl heart wouldn't have chosen a more attractive actor to play Sirius, lol, but otherwise, very enjoyable. Ohh, you should watch them, even if they make you tear up! X') if anything, they have pretty cool special effects and set design.<--i get really excited ( ... )
