The Little Mermaid is really not appropriate brain-fodder when plunked into one's OTP. I should not be drawing Shisui as Prince Eric and Itachi as some sort of Ariel substitute poking him washed up on the beach x_x

BUT! If you darken and slim down the pencil lines in Photoshop with the layer adjustment tool, you don't have to go through the boring and ultimately pointless inking process. I haven't had to ink anything since I figured out how to use it :)
and Little Mermaid-tachi is only acceptable if Madara-Triton is involved, GOD

OKAY SUPER PHOTOSHOP FUNTIEMS
...bear in mind I don't know very much about it either, and also that I have CS4, but this should work there too.
So open up your line drawing, and then go to Image>>Adjustments>>Levels. A sort of...horrifying graph thing should pop up.
Directly under that, there should be three boxes with odd decimal numbers. There are three tiny sliders right above them. Sliding the first one around will adjust the thickness of your lines. The second one will adjust their darkness. The third will adjust the amount of gray matter (random scribblings, usually)--but be careful with this one, because once you move it you'll have to re-adjust the others ( ... )

I like the description of Itachi on the road making TEA, and also his desire to see Sasuke and simultaneous acknowledgment of its impossibility. Oh come on, Itachi, just sneak into the stadium for ten seconds...There's a fucking invasion going on, no one will care! It's lovely, just right without being maudlin and sentimental.

XD Accurate scientific measurement, I'm sure.
(oh it most certainly does. I'm very back-and-forth with Itachi. When I'm writing him, I love him. I love everyone I write. That's why I write them, but 90% of canon and fanfic just makes me want to kill Itachi in his sleep. :/)

And I don't know a single thing about CG, but your art is amazing, as compared to mine. How dare you compliment my art in any way when yours is so incredible?
The story sort of blew me away. I'm absolutely in love with your interpretation of Itachi's character and the reason he went back to Konaha. And his love for Sasuke, omg. I don't like Sasuke, but I love that Itachi loves Sasuke because his little bro is obviously a point of emotional turmoil for him, and who doesn't love that? as;df;sdkjf You have no idea how much I want to just copy and paste the entire story into this comment, but I'll refrain and only paste... 3/4 of it. 8)
His heart clenches at the vista in front of him and he knows the expression on his face is one of regret, something too sad and subtle to place. So he's glad Kisame probably can't see it, hidden by his hat and high collar ( ... )

D'awwww thank you for quoting at me. (this is how i review/flail at people also XD) i always wondered how Kisame and Itachi related to each other. Itachi's a nice guy, it would have to show through somewhere. :p

I always imagine that Kisame is a lax, go-with-the-flow kind of guy who respects Itachi and whom Itachi respects as well. I'm not sure why, but I feel as if they understand each other. :P

Traveling with someone, you get to know all the little things that define them. Kisame knows intellectually that Itachi is heartless mass-murderer, but Itachi is unerringly polite, gracious. He will make tea if asked, will give directions to travelers lost on the road with precise detail. He will clean things with patience and ask concernedly if someone is all right if they cough, if they're sick.
OH ITACHI ;____; That was my favorite bit <3
