I think this was the 6th or 7th round I've been through in my (almost) 10 years at the firm. We let go of two assistants (zero bankers) and I now support two Managing Directors, a VP and an Associate. So much for hoping that I'd someday get my 8am - 4pm hours back. Yeah, it's been a tough time, but at least I'm busy now that I've got more bankers. After the November layoffs, I found myself with very little to do and I was spending a lot of time on the purse forum, reading about designer bags that I have no business buying right now!

I think it's partly because she spends so much time in the kitchen with my mom. You should see her playing with my mom's pots and pans - she's got all the right moves. I'll try and call you this weekend. Things are too scary at work to even attempt a social call from my desk and I lost all my privacy when I had to move desks in December.
