I've lost count...

I think this was the 6th or 7th round I've been through in my (almost) 10 years at the firm. We let go of two assistants (zero bankers) and I now support two Managing Directors, a VP and an Associate. So much for hoping that I'd someday get my 8am - 4pm hours back. I'm relieved that I still have a job but devastated for the two assistants who were let go. What a crappy day. Our office manager broke down during our assistant meeting. As bad as I feel, it must be 10 times worse for her because she's the one who had to make the decision. And my parents wonder why I'd never want a job in HR. Umm, so as usual, crappy-feeling posts are followed up by happy pictures :)
