I really feel like i don't have anything to say lately except BOY OH BOY I SURE DO HAVE A LOT OF SCHOOLWORK. And i do. Thank goodness for Passover and an opportunity to catch up, else this semester would be a disaster

They're making you do a PORTRAIT BUST this early in your sculpting career??!? That seems... ambitious. Have you mentioned face-blindness to the professor, or are you just going to soldier on with the calipers? Did you have a set model to work with, or could you pick your own? (In the latter case, you might try using one of your *dolls* as a model sometime...)
On the other hand, your MEAT MASTERY plan sounds amazing :D
Yep; bear body, kitty head, paws, and tail. :3 I have some orange patterned velvety stuff for the first one; i'll have to start hunting around for more appropriate fabric to make more. Needs moar upholstery velvet scraps

The kitty-bear sounds utterly unbearably (ahem) cute :D
(I am kind of a softie for all things kitty-related, in case it wasn't GLARINGLY OBVIOUS. Can't wait to see the pictures!)
The class sounds really awesome, if challenging -- I look forward to hearing how it all turns out! (And fingers crossed that someone was there to unlock the cabinet, yeeps!)
I know we have a pre-med program, but i don't think it's fancy enough for cadavers, and we do have a lot of nursing students, so i'm hoping the bar for gross anatomy is set a little lower than usual. All the professors so far have been pleasantly or weirdly surprised by my goals (histotechnology and/or prosthetics), so hopefully if there's a problem, someone will be willing to bend that bar a little bit.
Im the meanwhile (maybe over the summer) i'm going to soak up as much of the Robert Hale lectures as i can, and maybe try to get a hold of this drawing-a-person thing i seem to hear so much about these days.
