Flappy head, flappy head.

I really feel like i don't have anything to say lately except BOY OH BOY I SURE DO HAVE A LOT OF SCHOOLWORK. And i do. Thank goodness for Passover and an opportunity to catch up, else this semester would be a disaster.

Not that i've actually done anything except some reading so far. I have two (short, thankfully) papers to turn in, three for four homeworks and some concepts to study in math, and the thing that's really hanging over my head: two sculptures to finish up. Both of them are about 3/4ths done, but i can easily see plugging in another twenty hours before they're really complete, and i only have two weeks to do that in.

By the way, making the prosopagnosic do a portrait bust as their second sculpture project ever? Thanks a heap for that one. I'm getting along, but reproducing the eye details is doing a good job of killing me: suffice to say that i use the calipers a lot. Tomorrow is going to be spent mostly in studio; i hope to finish up at least one project, or, at a minimum, square away all the repairs and have it ready for brushwork the next day.

(also realized that i may well end up taking just about every gross anatomy and art anatomy class the CUNY system has to offer in the end. I will be KING OF HUMAN MEAT. That is what my degree should say.)

We had a bit of a wander around the grounds of St. John the Divine today (saw the white peacock), and now i am feeling springtime in my very toes. More moss! More tulips! More scraggly trees with rain-wet bark reaching over flagstone paths!

In celebration, i am, uh... making miniature bears. I should be doing about a thousand other things, honestly, but instead i made a polar bear about two inches long, and am going to start on a kitty-bear next. I have a powerful need to give the little critters away.

Speaking of "entire day in studio tomorrow," bedtime.
