Consume; produce.
It occurs to me that i might need to put together a summer Read/Watch/Make list, to catch up with all the stuff that i haven't had time for at all since starting school. I'm slowly getting better at the time-management aspect, but the crush of time between midterms and the end of the year is hopeless, and i'm only taking four classes.
So far, i have:
Watch:
- Black Butler season one (just got the other half of the season a couple of weeks ago)
- Vampire Diaries? This might be a mistake, but i'm not sure.
- Gosick (not sure there's even a full season of this to be had, but aloof girl detectives? i'll do that)
- Sherlock, speaking of aloof girl detectives.
- Dragon Age; Origins
- Eternal Sonata
- Mass Effect 2
- At least one Final Fantasy.
- KINGDOM HEARTS
- i'm sure i'm missing at least three more things.
Read:
Hahahahaha at least fifteen books. If they are not Holy, however, i can get through them two or three a week, so that's not too bad. Immediately to hand:
Holy:
- Tales from the Flat Earth, Tanith Lee
- Kuroshitsuji (silence, you)
- half a dozen of Cat Valente's books
Deadly:
- Geist. Philippa Ballantine
- Heartless, Gail Carriger
- Archer's Heart, Astrid Amara
- Guild of the Cowry Catchers, Abigail Hilton
Not sure yet:
- Game of Thrones. Yes, now that the fourth book is finally happening for real, this is back on my radar. This is one of those pieces that are the bones of history, fandom-wise; so deeply ingrained that they become almost unnecessary in and of themselves. It's the same reason i didn't read LOtR until i was a teenager, didn't actually see Star Wars or read/watch Dune all the way through until my twenties. They are already the ghosts of your story-house. We'll see.
Make:
- PRACTICE DRAWING. Spending two weeks with your head and wrist on fire is no good if you just toss it all aside afterwards.
- Fancifully styled wig for Anbarin. I know this doesn't seem like such A Project, but considering that i know next to nothing about styling hair, it's pretty much a new vista for me. This will also involve putting together that wig stand i have all the materials for.
- Furniture. I have an entire case of foamboard, shitloads of fabrics, wood, a miniature table saw, a router and a boatload of references. The only things i might - might - need to buy are a new Dremel if that last trip down the stairs killed mine for good, and a few yards of small brocades. Oh, and some batting.
I am still accepting furniture photo references if you have them, by the way. >.>
- Little sundresses omg. I am going to finish that pattern and start churning those out if it kills me.
- SALES. So much doll stuff that needs new homes, plus those two Camellia Dynasty boys. There is approximately three cubic feet's worth of wigs that just have to go alone.
Should be enough to keep anyone busy, really, Twelve weeks of kicking ass and taking names, and the basement needs to be finished in that time, as well.
Ah, but we get ahead of ourselves, considering my last midterm is in two days.
