I don't think they're from Johto. The Pokédex is having a little trouble registering them.

[Lightning is...struggling to keep hold of him. Squirmy little fellow is squirming to reach her ponytail.]

They're probably from somewhere beyond Johto. The Pokédex might not have the coding to register them properly.

[ He turns his attention away from the Riolu for the moment, moving to pick up the other egg. It's been bugging him--he knows it's a Growlithe egg, they're not supposed to take this much time. ]

It's warm. [ Not hot, like Riolu's egg was. Just warm. ] It should've hatched a week ago.

[She frowns, ignoring the Riolu in her lap that is attempting to play with her hair.]

Something's wrong. You should have it checked at the Center.

[ He nods, tucking the late egg away into his bag again. ]

I tried not to think about it too much. Figured it'd sort itself out. [ Leon's not big into parenting, incidentally. ]

Probably will. Some humans are born late, why should pokémon be any different? [AH-ha! Riolu has gotten her ponytail in his mouth and yanked. Slightly off-balanced Light is off-balanced.]

[One second, Rise--there we go. Her Riolu had nearly gone over her shoulder to get at her ponytail, but now he's staring at the Gear screen, tilting his head in the process.]

Looks that way. [Glance down at the little one, small smile on her face now.] Makes me wonder why.

[ Kisa's watching this half-curiously, but what snags her attention is that egg. That, and Ari seems upset and will be taking off at a run. ]

[ INCOMING MAMA GROWLITHE, YOU TWO. ]

[ Leon's newly hatched Riolu is alarmed at the sudden appearance of the other, bigger pokemon, and scampers up into Leon's hair. Leon, for his part, is wondering where this random Growlithe came from. ]

[ from the same direction this tiny twelve-year-old just came from, it seems. Ari pays no attention to either Leon or his Riolu, instead growling uneasily and slowing down to approach the egg. She only stops when Kisa calls out to her. ]

Ari, i-it's-- um.

[ ... oh hi Leon you are tall and terrifying-looking, she's automatically shrinking back. ]

[ Leon sees the Growlithe going for the egg. He reaches over and gently pulls it out of the back; it's warm, not as hot as it could or should be, but otherwise doesn't have a scratch on it. But for the temperature, it looks impeccably cared for.

Leon turns his attention to Kisa; it's hard not to notice how intimidated she looks. It makes Leon slightly uncomfortable; he's definitely used to inspiring respect, possibly caution, but never fear. ]

[Ah, Korea, careful! Squirmy Riolu in Lightnings arms is squirmy to get her ponytail as she glances over her shoulder at you.]

The species is called Riolu, apparently.

( he's now leaning over and attempting to pat Riolu on the head. )

[Does the Riolu mind the pat? Not one little bit. Have a cheerful little "Lu!" in greeting, and a soft smile from Lightning. Silly little thing.]
