At the risk of seeming obscenely fangirl-y, I've recently taken it upon myself to reading the singer of Sodagreen's, 吴青峰's blog. I thought I might post some of those translations--the entries that are particularly interesting or funny.

Sodagreen - My Future is Not a Dream

This isn't a Sodagreen original but I don't know who first wrote it. On the EP there are three versions: Both Sodagreen and A-Pay, just Sodagreen, and just A-Pay.

Sodagreen - Trapped by the Rain in the City

I'm on a roll today with these translations. Actually, I started this one a long time ago but just finished it. I took 有 for granted and left it out of the translation. It's understood that the song is there in that rainy city, etc.

游鸿明 - 孟婆汤
Chris Yu - Lethe Water

My friend recently sent me this song; I really fell in love with it. 游鸿明's songs are so beautiful but so hard to translate ^^;; So like the previous post, I also consider this a beta version.

Lethe Water refers to the river in Hades which causes the drinker to forget all memories.

One of her most popular songs, I think. I actually love Sodagreen's cover, like here so that's why I originally set out to translate it but it's so gorgeous. I love love love the comparison to a chess game.

As requested by whatxsarahxsaid, here is the translation to Peng Tan's beautiful song, 美丽的漩涡. 命中注定 in the first line refers to a belief in that everything in life is doomed. Fatalism?
