She's busy reading over everything from the last few days, but she finally decides to talk to the village at large.]So. Hypothetical question. ...how long is too long to wait? For people, for objects, for anything. Give me your thoughts on this ( Read more... )

It's a holiday. You know, pumpkin-carving and trick-or-treating and stuff? Ring any bells?

Hmm... No, I don't think I've heard of any of that before.

[Pff. Oh Angel.]

Sure was. [No there wasn't, but she's not going to accept him just ignoring the whole issue.] So, what do you think?

Trust me, there's a reason I'm asking. But what's that supposed to mean, Hiccup? You don't have any thoughts on it at all?

I like what you've done with the place.

[Suprise, Sokka walked up while Shiki was busy staplegunning those leaves up.]

Do you really? [She looks over her shoulder at the girl while she's busy stapling some of those leaves around one of the pillars of the porch.] Thanks. I'm hoping it's just subtle enough to look good but stands out enough to grab more customers.

Well you'd probably have more if you just took over the regular shop. [He's just tossing that out there, though. It's what he did with the smithy, after all.]

I've thought about it, but I kind of like this building. It's really mine, you know? It's not something pre-established that I took over. I founded it. And I kind of built it.

I don't think there's a set limit for anything, rather, it depends on the person and how long they're willing to.

That seems to be the consensus around here. So if a person wanted to wait forever, that'd be okay?

If they wanted to, I don't see why not. [her words are slightly hesitant.] If I were that person's friend, I'd want them to move on, but if that's how they really feel, then it's important to respect that.

...I guess that makes sense. I guess it's all a matter of where the fine line is and all that, right? I can think of some people that wouldn't have enough patience to wait forever.
