It's a holiday. You know, pumpkin-carving and trick-or-treating and stuff? Ring any bells?

Hmm... No, I don't think I've heard of any of that before.

I don't know that one either. Is that a holiday, too?

Yeah, they're Earth holidays. If you end up stuck here long enough, you'll learn more about them.

Which...leads to the question of where are you even from?

Oh? Are there a lot of people from Earth here, then?

I'm from a world called Celirand! I've looked around and I think I'm the only one here from there, so far.

Definitely. I want to say maybe a fourth, but don't quote me on that. It's hard to say just how may people are from there.

Celirand? Never heard of it. What's it like?

Oh, wow, that is a lot. So you're from there too, right?

I'd say it's a pretty peaceful world! Everyone's strong, and there's tons of oceans and islands and stuff. Of course there's some dangerous stuff, but I think it's a great place to live.

Yeah, I am. A lot of my friends are, even if it's not the same Earth. That's where it gets weird.

It sounds really pretty...but then again I'm from a really big city. Don't get me wrong, I love Shibuya, but sometimes it'd be nice just to see the sky without towers everywhere. What did you do there?

The same Earth, but not the same Earth? ...That is complicated.

I did a lot of traveling! I'd never left my village before so it was exciting!

Well I mean it's like...okay, a friend of mine lives in Japan. I live in Japan. But my Japan doesn't have the city that he lives in in his Japan. I don't think anyway. ...I don't remember actually, but it's an example.

You never left? Ever? How come?

Wow, I don't know what I'd do if I met someone like that. It's hard to imagine...

Yeah, my Gramps never let me leave. I admit it was kinda frustrating sometimes.

I try not to think about it so much.

Why wouldn't he let you go anywhere? Just crazy-overprotective?

...I guess when I think about it he kinda was. He never let me leave because he didn't think I'd be able to handle myself in the outside world. But he wasn't a bad person! He was right in some ways.

Did you ever really get a chance to prove yourself?
