What a wonderful eulogy to a wonderful pet. I am so sorry for your loss, but thankful that Blu had such a loving family.

He really wasn't with us as long as he should have been. We'd only had him for five-ish years. The dog was only eight. Every other pet in this house has now outlived and, except for Sam our siamese cat, been under this roof longer longer than Blu, and he was supposed to be the rough-and-tumble product of great breeding. It's somehow cosmically unfair.

I'm truly sorry that you lost Blu, Adam. It's always so hard to lose a pet because they are a companion, a friend, and family to us. Please know that you and your family did all you could for Blu. Most of all, you gave him 5 years of love and happiness, just as he gave to all of you. I wish for you and your family all the best. Treasure all of your pictures and memories of Blu ( ... )

It's so hard and difficult and terrible to lose a member of the family. Blu was a wonderful dog and I know personally how happy he was in your family (considering his questionable beginnings), and how happy he made your family and friends. I think that if he had to go, he was happiest with his family surrounding him. The world will be a little less happy without that gentle giant. My sincerest condolences to you and your family, especially your mom.

Thank you, Jaci. It means a lot coming from you since you really did bond with Blu over the years. I've still got photos of him jumping on you and climbing up on things to sit next to you. Ugh it's just the craziest thing that he's so suddenly gone.
