I woke up this morning at 5 AM to make it to Stanford by kick-off, watched Switzerland beat Togo 2-0 (woo!!) with a friend who's leaving for San Diego tomorrow "for good" while drinking beers and eating Bratwurst. Biking in to work today, two gardeners turned off their leaf-blowers to let me pass by without the noise and stink of their machines. I felt really special. :)

But just wanted to let y'all know that I'm going to be in DC next weekend to fulfill my spontaneous, i-kinda-need-to-get-out-of-here needs (i think it's all the sun :) If any of you will be around give me a holla.

Today, I am officially a California resident. This morning at 9:15 am, I took and passed my CA driver license exam (messing up only on questions which show me to be an even safer driver - e.g. I wrote BAC level >.05% when it's legally .08%. booyah!)
