Non-sequitor highlights of today:
Biking in to work today, two gardeners turned off their leaf-blowers to let me pass by without the noise and stink of their machines. I felt really special. :)
One of my coworkers gave me all 5 seasons of the
90s X-Men TV show (after mentioning that I went to go see the opening night, midnight showing of
X3 after work - which I have mixed feelings about.) This is particularly special for me, as had to go to German Speaking School on Saturday mornings for the better part of my youth. I can't wait to hear that theme song again!
The first of our housemates is leaving tomorrow morning. He is spending the night sleeping on the floor, the same way he spent his first night at the Vineyard. Being a comp lit major (the one other non-engineer in the house), he very naturally reffered to it as "an appropriate bookend" to his time here. Another housemate wants us all to take a house picture before we all leave. He has a grandfather (who's mail we actually constantly get) who took a house photo with all of his buddies "back in the day" and he'd like to do the same. This means we are getting "kidney punches and strong coffee" at 7:15 am tomorrow morning. But not before getting drunk with the comp lit. housemate and watching his favorite movie: Mean Girls.
